Jeffrey Dean Morgan was so committed to his debut as Negan in The Walking Dead (2010) that he took his "Lucille" bat home to practice his swings. He wanted the movement to feel second nature so he could focus entirely on Negan’s terrifying, rhythmic dialogue.

The Walking Dead peaked at this episode. Negan was pure evil - Morgan played the part amazingly well.

That scene ended the show for me. I loved that series right up until that scene. I stopped watching after that.

Is this the moment everybody stopped watching Walking Dead?

This was the end of the series for me. Couldn’t go on much longer.

Yep, the scene that ended the show for me. Perfect cinema, in that it saved me an hour per week of my life. Thanks writers!!!

Amateur

Definitely the most terrifying and heartbreaking scene in entire TWD 💔

He nerfed rick at one point of time. Mann that scene. One can feel that.

All i remember from this sequence is the half year wait to find out what happened.

I had to get one too

Please send Negan and his beautiful Lucille to the white House, there is a lot of work for them to do !

That’s some next level method acting. Negan’s menace wasn’t just in the words, it was in the swing.

I think Negan was only cool in his introduction and then became extremely cringe after this. It was awesome to see that part of the comic get adapted but the rest of the negan arc was done so poorly. 7x01 was a great episode. Glenn’s death was good. But the rest of 7 and 8 sucked

Right after this the show jumped the shark. They trolled us with the cgi deer

TWD was already dying on its arse but the whole Negan thing finished off. Unbearable, over acted cornball shtick

2010!?! Wait, the series started in 2010, but Negan showed up in 2016. I thought I was completely losing track of time there.

Negan was a crazy villain. Heck that dude was scary

Really was the end of the good part of TWD. They should have never killed Glenn

Good actor but that scene lost millions of viewers afterwards

I don't scare easily. That scene terrified me.

Definitely one of the best villains ever played to perfection

One of the greatest scenes in TV history!

Literally when the show ended for me.. should’ve been Carl. We all know it. Carl was the fucking worst. They killed the best character on the show and in the comics just for shock factor

Lol he’s why I quit watching

Without a doubt Jeffrey Dean Morgan's best role ever & the character of Negan is one of my favorite villains.

This shit was actually terrifying

And the botched cliff-hanger ruined th walking dead as we know it.

JDM IS AN AMAZING ACTOR AND HE IS SO AWESOME AS NEGAN ❤️❤️❤️

Love Negan he's the goat 🐐

Anyone who stopped watching TWD after this scene just cause glenn died are awful fans and should never watch a tv show again honestly. I loved Glenn as much as the next guy, but his death was so impactful to the show and it set up what went on to be a Great War

the most iconic but also the most heartbreaking scene in tv history
