Jeffrey Wright doesn’t get enough recognition for his versatility, he had me in tears in #Shaft

He was Puerto Rican in one movie and Martin Luther King in the next movie. His range is crazy.

One of my favorite movies of all time.

He's a black Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Amazing character actor. Underrated performance in Highest to Lowest. Could of low key stole that film if they moved the story arc in his direction when his son went missing. Btw, my edc is now and forever called Jake from State Farm. Lol

Jeffrey wright is the most versatile actor there is. There are about 10 movies I didn't even realize he was in until I watched them years later He has played every race, ethnicity,civil rights leaders,drug dealers, cop, superhero,bad & good. He doesn't get the shine he deserves

Jeffrey Wright is one of those very rare actors who it takes a few beats to recognize. On stage or screen his characters exist. Basquiat/Angels in America/Demme’s The Manchurian Candidate all have me hooked. And he was too hot in that tuxedo playing poker with James Bond.

He was so locked into his character you forget he’s talking to the police in this scene 😂
