They were wanting TV cameras in there. And you know why? So they could show out and get on MSNBC and be outraged. Lee: It is a gross abuse of our ability to conduct oversight. They are essentially spying on us as we are looking through and trying to do any sort of investigation and bring about transparency regarding these Epstein files. I think that is really problematic for that reason — that they are spying on members of Congress who are doing their job. Also, why should we have to do this at the end of the day? These files shouldn’t have been redacted in that way in the first place. They’ve redacted the names of people who perpetrated heinous crimes. These are some of the most powerful people — potentially — but we don’t know because they still won’t release the names. Yet they unredacted the names and images of survivors. None of this would have been a problem if they had done their job in the first place. I do want to remind people that the Epstein Transparency Act is one of the things that compels them to release the files. Also, our subpoena from back in August compels them to release the full, complete, unredacted files — except for the names or identifying information of survivors, which should be coming to our committee. There is no reason why they haven’t yet released the final 3 million or so documents. They’re saying the Epstein Transparency Act is the reason why, but our subpoena does not contain that loophole. So we still expect the rest of the files. We expect that the executive branch will not trample on the legislative branch’s ability to do our job. And I just think it’s funny that Pam Bondi had so much energy today in that hearing, all while she is protecting pedophiles.

It’s hard to imagine he has the ability to actually prove that, because we’ve seen no evidence to justify this type of offensive strike. The problem is, there also doesn’t seem to be a plan for how to avoid the kind of escalation that could drag America into another potentially disastrous Middle Eastern war—one that the overwhelming majority of the American people want no part of at this moment.

Please take the time to read this-A sitting member of Congress should never have been arrested for asking questions. Where are the people who believe in free speech? This is the second United States setting member of Congress that has been arrested. The United States looks more like a police state and under an authoritarian regime that demands his will all while Republicans in Congress allow it to happen because they decided to take an oath to the agenda and not to the constitution. The only people that are happy with this are people that see things through a single lens of information and only want whatever Trump is doing. It looks very much like they care more about that agenda than the actual United States, values, our citizens or our country and democracy that so many people died to protect. Why are Federal employees asked to take a loyalty pledge and why people not asking these questions?
