He was a candidate running against Garland’s boss. But just because someone is prosecuted, who is your political opponent, doesn't necessarily mean that they shouldn't be prosecuted if they committed a crime and that's why god made federal judges.

Phillip: He had an arrangement with ice that allowed him to be in the country as long as he checked in. He had just checked in with them. They could have picked him up last week when he was in the office. They didn't do that. What they did was they broke down the door without a warrant, and they detained him. Jennings: The only reason this is happening, is because they can't get an arrangement with the locals to pick them up in the jails. Phillip: You keep saying that. It doesn’t make it true.

I think the Mamdani that we saw in the campaign trail, who was a lot more calm, who was a lot warmer, who was a lot more embracing, was not present in that speech. And I think that Mamdani is the one you need to hear from tonight. There are a lot of people trying to figure out, can I get on this train with him or not? Is he going to include me? Is he going -- is he -- is he going to be more of a class warrior even in office? I think he missed a chance tonight to to open up and bring more people into the tent. I think his tone was sharp. I love getting to know Secretary Rubio like this! Katie Miller asked him two questions: 1. Who do you think is the funniest in the whole cabinet? 2. Who’s your best friend in the administration? 1. First answer: "There’s I think there’s three finalists. I have to say three. So I think the VP is funny. Everybody’s got their own style. And I think the VP can be very funny.
