I couldn’t disagree more. Put aside the win-loss record, Mayo has consistently shown at the podium, in front of the mic, that he’s in over his head. He has no idea how to run an organization and he shouldn’t have ever been hired. Now, players spout off criticizing fans, deflect blame and take no accountability. This organization has become a dumpster fire across the board.

@devinmccourty Dev, I get it. You played with Mayo, you want him to succeed. Problem is, the expectations were low, he somehow did worse.. literally nothing has gotten better. If you could name one thing he improved, one reason he should be given a shot over Vrabel, etc? There isn’t any

@devinmccourty All due respect DMac, Mayo was a great player and seems like a good guy but he’s not HC material. The team got worse as the season went on and so didn’t the coaching. His situational awarensss is lacking, constant inconsistent messaging to team/media alike. He needs to go.

@UpAndAdamsShow @devinmccourty Tough spot for McCourty because he can’t say the truth. Mayo hasn’t established a culture as a foundation, that’s irrespective of talent. Playing the bad roster card and it’s only been one year are predictable excuses. He’s an NFL head coach this isn’t a training program.

@devinmccourty Normally would agree BUT Mayo has shown he’s not a great coach. If we had a new coach what would you genuinely miss from Mayo? Highly penalized team, close losses with questionable calls (punting in OT, no 2pt), problems leaking out the locker room, bad with the media.

@devinmccourty Love DMac, but he’s just sticking up for his guy now. They got blown out Saturday 40-7. He knows deep down the coaching not good enough. Team has gotten worse. Mayo preached at his opening PC he wanted a smart, tough team. They’re dumb and soft.
