Powell had said we can’t stop everything. Reid pressed her on it. How can you claim the border is secure when you admit you’re helpless to stop every crossing, and two boats have just found a new route and arrived undetected? Powell did not like that at all. Visibly annoyed, she accused Reid of taking her words out of context. Reid asked how, when the context was the boats. Exactly. How on earth is that out of context? It’s simple and self-explanatory.
