It looks stupid and you can argue the validity of the rules all you want, but as it is written, the rule is be ready at 8 secs. It doesn't say anything anywhere about the pitcher. Just be ready at 8 secs. Not that hard.

The batter is subject to his end of the clock rule, the pitcher to his. Both were under the clock at the time.

Some media members have labeled the elbow incident an “immature moment” from Victor Wembanyama… But I’m told it absolutely was NOT an act when he turned to Harrison Barnes on the bench and asked: “Me?” after being ejected. He genuinely believed he was being swarmed and held by two very aggressive defenders and reacted instinctively to protect both himself and the basketball. 🤔

This gentleman was using the restroom at the rest area and came out to find out his semi was struck by another truck driver. The other driver starts yelling at him about how he was parked despite being the one who hit the other semi truck. The gentleman wanted to call the police and the other truck driver refused, claiming that it was a waste of time. I’m not even sure if the truck driver understands what he even did, but to avoid further escalation, would you just call the cops at this point even though you may have no damages?
