Adam Weishaupt the Illuminati founder was a Jesuit and I strongly believe they began infiltrating lodges in the 1700s and have basically all but seized control of the entire organization at this point. There was a British noble who was a Freemason and called for the dissolution of the entire order over it's infiltration by malicious forces.
