Connotation and Denotation. Denotation is the dictionary definition of a word, basically the literal meaning. Connotations are the mental-emotional and social associations our minds make with words. Confusing? They are connections our mind makes with words. Darkness can have different connotations. It could either be the absence of light or a lack of enlightenment. And yeah, we humans can see through both. The lack of light can be overcome with night vision or infrared glasses. You can also see if your eyes adjust to the darkness. In the case of the second, we are not capable of seeing through such darkness. Because most of us live in that darkness, you must understand that we see in it but not through it. And again, just in case, once more: 'Denotation' is the dictionary definition of the 'word', and to remember, all that dictionary denotation and definitions all begin with D. And again, connotation is the connection our mind makes with words. You can remember all that as 'connotation' and 'connection', both begin with C.

Let me get this straight dies on Good Friday and rose on Sunday. What we have here is 3 lies. It was not good it was not Friday and it was not Sunday. I challenge anyone to get 3 days and 3 nights from Friday to Sunday.
