"The President and the Press", is by far my favorite of all of his speeches. I'm glad you're shining light on it. If you haven't listened to the whole thing, I highly recommend it. Given on April 27, 1961 to the press corps, this speech encompassed JFK's immense capacity for humor and gravitas. And, he was 100% correct in his statements. When he was assassinated 2 1/2 years later, we lost the last true president for the people ever elected.
