When Hasan did this (denying water to Hindus) no mainstream media blared big headlines about persecution of Hindus by a mozlem. If it had been the other way around, they would have put it in headlines for months, there would have been multitude of articles, reports etc.

Madhupur was once a overwhelmingly Hindu majority (include tribals) area (85-90%) & rest were Christians. People of Calcutta used to go there for change of climate when doctor advices once upon a time.

When you don't have able leaders within the state to communicate the truth to people in a convincing manner, this will happen. Jharkhand is crying out for a Fadnavis/Yogi/Annamalai type of leader.

We (Organiser Weekly) found this man and met him to understand his problems and demands from the government. He is Murli Singh, who lives in Bela Tand village of Madhupur assembly constituency in Deoghar district. He is the sole breadwinner of his family as his son passed away during the Covid-19 outbreak. He spoke at length to us about the challenges he faces for being a Hindu, living in a constituency ruled by a Muslim leader. Hafizul Ansari and his father Haji Hussain from JMM have consecutively ruled the constituency, and their response to these people and their demands has been, "You are a BJP voter and a Hindu... so your demands cannot be met."
