China didn't rise because of hard work. China rose because America needed somewhere to park its dollars. China is a hallucination of a hallucination. And here is the problem with that. If the original hallucination becomes unstable — China becomes twice as unstable. Because it has nothing real to stand on. That is why China and America will always need each other. The dream only works if both keep dreaming it.

You know what else China has that America doesn’t? Universal healthcare, social housing, and the best modern infrastructure in the world. While the US is investing in its wars and oligarchs, China is investing in its people. China is a colony for its people, while America is a colony for the billionaires who exploit us.

China didn’t ask countries to choose between China and the United States. In China, you have high-speed trains that can transport you from one side of the country to the other. People are friendly, the food is nice...
