I think Jim means well, but this idea of depression as “deep rest” is dangerous, without adding major qualifiers. Depression is a disease, & mostly curable, with diet & lifestyle changes. Jim’s wording is harmfully mollifying, about a debilitating & deadly (& curable) illness.
