Jimi Hendrix appreciation post

I saw Jimi in Providence,Rhode Island. I was experienced w/my girlfriend. We were 14yrs.old at the time & I was doing LSD the following summer.Greatest times of my teen yrs. The following yr. Jimi returned & that gig was even better. I started hitting great gigs from then on.

My Mount Rushmore of rock albums changes with my mood sometimes, but Axis: Bold As Love is on it every single time. I think that is the first album that I could sing every single word of every single song on it.

Still to this day, no guitarist comes close to being as different and original as Hendrix. He’s still chosen as the greatest rock guitarist ever. Dozens are voted as #2, but Jimi’s always #1. For me the one that comes closest is Robin Trower.
