I recommend The Hemingford Arms off the Cally Road. And check out The Green Man on Essex Road, which acts as a consulate for Rangers' supporters. The Shakespeare's Head, adjacent to Sadler's Wells Theatre, is one of the remaining family-run pubs in Islington.

Literally just walked out of the Tarmon within the hour. Odd. Great video

Lived next the tarmon for a year or so in 2011. Had to go in there to get my leccy card each week. Regrettably I was too pussy back then to have a drink in there, found solace in the safer environment of alibi on kingsland rd. Halycon days.
