He was jailed for 14 years. Her bravery in coming forward and allowing her story to be shared has helped raise awareness of the devastating reality of domestic abuse and may help protect other women. The judge told her: “You have been brave in the extreme. You have not just protected yourself, you have protected other women.” I completely echo the judge’s words.
