@espn @jj_redick Ja doesn’t understand the gravity of his actions.Highlighting the “legality” of it takes the focus off of the need for accountability. And the “yeah but” argument is silly. Perpetuating behaviors & stereotypes in a community that over indexes in gun-related deaths is a big problem

@ESPNNBA @jj_redick love JJ but he's off on this take. Should be 40 or even the whole year. Ja needs that.

@jj_redick Politicians- speak for the constituents, sorry the majority of Texans and Tennessee voters like to have guns. NBA- a business trying to rid of a gun/gangster lifestyle It's not that hard but he can keep screaming about two totally different things

@espn @jj_redick Kids are looking up to Ja. He ain't just playing for the name on the back of the jersey, but for the kids who dream of wearing it one day.

@ESPNNBA @jj_redick Breaking a law is NOT the test here —this is an organization protecting its BRAND and constructing player contracts specifically designed to hold players to a higher standard so they do not diminish or tarnish the NBA brand by off-court conduct. It’s an employment contract.

@jj_redick JJ makes some points. But it’s not about whether you break a law. You can get fired from a job for not breaking a law. You can get fired from a job for your social media presence. This is a business. He is an employee.

@espn @jj_redick What is the problem again? Posing with a gun? Owning a gun? Open carry while playing for a team that is in an open carry state? Based on what I have seen Ja Morant is getting judged on a different standard than most.

@jj_redick 23 is not a toddler age 23 is a grown adult he know what he doing

@jj_redick Comparing him to politicians when he’s brandishing pistols to music at the club or in a moving vehicle is not a good counter argument, especially when the NBA has an image to protect.

@jj_redick JJ went full liberal 😬
