During the fateful night between June 21 and June 22, 2017, Jammu and Kashmir Police officer DySP Muhammad Ayub Pandith was performing his legitimate duties outside Jamia Masjid, Nowhata,Srinagar when an unruly mob caught hold of him and stripped him naked before stoning him to death in most barbaric manner. He was posted outside the mosque for the security duty of the people so that they could offer prayers without any hindrance on the auspicious night of Shab-i-Qadar in the holy month of Ramzan. The Martyr was lynched to death by some ultra radicals in the pious night. That night humanity was again put to shame at the hands of brutality and some anti national elements who don’t want peace for the people of J&K. The act of cruelty was condemned by the people across different sections but J&K Police has lost a brave, dedicated and an honest officer. The nation will remain indebted to the supreme sacrifice of the officer and JKP is proud of its valiant officer. I convinced my entire family, relatives, friends, and everyone I know to vote for Modi and the BJP in 2024. I truly believed they were the ultimate nationalists ~ putting the nation above everything else, that no one was more patriotic than them. What a fool I was. I feel ashamed and disgusted with myself for falling for it. They proved me dead wrong.. The harsh reality? This government only cares about SC, ST, and OBC vote banks. General category people ~the so-called “forward castes” ~are nothing but disposable tools to them. They don’t give a damn about merit, fairness, or the future of our children. All they crave is raw power, seats, and staying in control at any cost. They will happily sacrifice the dreams and opportunities of millions of hardworking, tax-paying general category families to keep their coalition of castes happy. Enough is enough. I swear on everything I hold : In 2029, I will make damn sure no one in my family, no relative, no friend, no acquaintance wastes even a single vote on Modi or the BJP again. Then whom to vote? What’s the solution? Instead, we must back independent candidates who fight tooth and nail for merit first, nation first. Candidates who refuse to play the endless Dalit-Dalit card, who don’t obsess over caste quotas day and night while ignoring the silent massacre of general category opportunities in education, jobs, and promotions. Look at examples like Pappu Yadav and Chandrashekhar Azad ~ they won as independents in 2024 . If such worthless people can win, then in the general category there are far more educated people than them. 20-25 seats, they can also get those. I convinced my entire family, relatives, friends, and everyone I know to vote for Modi and the BJP in 2024. I truly believed they were the ultimate nationalists ~ putting the nation above everything else, that no one was more patriotic than them. What a fool I was. I feel ashamed and disgusted with myself for falling for it. They proved me dead wrong.. The harsh reality? This government only cares about SC, ST, and OBC vote banks. General category people ~the so-called “forward castes” ~are nothing but disposable tools to them. They don’t give a damn about merit, fairness, or the future of our children. All they crave is raw power, seats, and staying in control at any cost. They will happily sacrifice the dreams and opportunities of millions of hardworking, tax-paying general category families to keep their coalition of castes happy. Enough is enough. I swear on everything I hold : In 2029, I will make damn sure no one in my family, no relative, no friend, no acquaintance wastes even a single vote on Modi or the BJP again. Then whom to vote? Ekpoma is bleeding. Kidnappers have taken over Edo state. They now go from house to house, kidnapping families; students most especially. I have read the gory stories of the events of yesterday, & I'm very much terrified. Reports say that lives were lost in Ekpoma. Shot by the police & the army, scores were injured as well. They shot at civilians & arrested students in their hostels. Everyone should their voice to this cause, because media reports have been nothing but underwhelming. We mustn’t abandon the people of Ekpoma because the protests had EndSARS theme; Nigerian authorities are yet to learn any lesson. Many were outside; people got obviously tired of waiting to be k!lled, so they took to the streets. Now students are leaving. Freshmen want to write JAMB again, they will do anything (just to leave the school environment). School surrounding is not safe, Ekpoma itself is not! Kidnappers demand as high as N100 million from students as ransom, & kill them when they fail to raise it. Where do you want Edo students to get that large amount of money from? Children from Ekpoma protested against the insecurity in their state. And in keeping with tradition, the police opened fire as usual. There’s a common perception in Kashmir that medicines sold in the market are not genuine — which is not true! The idea of “nakli dawai” is mostly a myth! A medcine can be substandard but not NAKLI ! However! Concerns do exist about substandard medicines allegedly being sold by certain private nursing homes and clinics! These are often procured through contract manufacturing units in places like Baddi and parts of Gujarat! And the biggest problem is that such medicines are often available only at the drug counters of those specific clinics or nursing homes, not in the open market or reputed pharmacies! This makes it very difficult for patients who need to continue the same medication, as they are forced to travel all the way back to that particular place just to buy it again! Medicines are generally manufactured and sold under two categories: ethical and generic! Ethical drugs are usually prescribed by doctors and follow regulated pricing structures, usually allowing a margin of 15–20%.! Generic medicines on the other hand are sold directly and can have profit margins as high as 80%.! This is where the confusion begins! Consumers assume that all medicines carry such high margins — which is not the case! People often ask how some chemists offer huge discounts! The answer lies in the model! Many of these outlets are charity driven or not for profit setups where profit isn’t a concern! Some private chemists also offer steep discounts without properly calculating their overheads — but eventually most of them are unable to sustain and end up shutting shop! Another false notion often heard in Kashmir is that Mr. X sells genuine medicines while Mr. Y doesn’t! How is that even possible when the company is the same, the C&F agent is the same and the distributor delivering to both is also the same .. Are we saying the distributor is sending genuine stock to one and fake to the other .. That’s simply not possible—unless the stock is being procured from some other place or source! For consumers there’s a simple way to verify the authenticity of a medicine! Standard medicines, especially those manufactured by multinational companies carry barcodes and embossed codes on the strips! You can scan the code or send it directly to the manufacturer to authenticate its genuineness — and receive confirmation within seconds! Moreover! J&K has a state of the art drug testing laboratory in Kathua — one of its kind in North India — where the Drug Control Department regularly sends samples for testing and issues detailed reports on their quality and authenticity! Let’s not generalise or spread panic! The Drug Enforcement Agency in J&K is among one of the strongest in the country, with a robust regulatory framework! But, most importantly, he mentions in Koshur language in this video that, we (Kashmiri Muslims) shouldn't care about the Pakistani team as we have our beloved Indian cricket team. It is important to add that GEN Z of Kashmiri Muslims, who have grown up in post 2019 Kashmir by and large do not think like their elder brothers & sisters (Burhan Wani generation) or their father & grand father’s generation of Kashmiri Muslims ( Kashmirs aged 50 and above).
