The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's (RSS) involvement in the Ayodhya Ram Temple movement after Gandhi's assassination is well explained by Justice Chandru in this video. RSS started by placing a small idol of Lord Ram near Babri Masjid in 1948, demolished Babri Masjid in 1992, and constructed the Ayodhya temple in 2024. They pursued a single-point agenda for 70 years to make India a Hindu Rashtra. Who will benefit? Hypothetically, if minorities convert to Hinduism, will the RSS agenda end? Last evening, Hon'ble Vice President of India and Rajya Sabha Chairman Sh Jagdeep Dhankar said in the House that "since the last 25 years, I have been an 'Eklavya' of the RSS". He then went on to shower praise on the RSS and said that his only "regret" was that he didn't join the RSS earlier. It was an open admission by the Hon'ble VP & Chair that he's a proud member of the RSS. Hon'ble VP & Chairman has the right to be a member of any organization that he pleases. However, 2 days ago, he expunged & removed parts of the speech of Leader of Opposition Kharge ji where he'd criticized the RSS. It is well-documented fact that the RSS is an organization that has been banned in the past for subversive activities. Is it fair for the VP of India to be openly praising the RSS while sitting in a chair where he's expected to be neutral? I hope this message reaches Abhijeet Dipke and Saurav Das And everyone who is supporting the Jantar Mantar Protest. I was there at the protest, on 21st July it was good, actually very good. There were good sloganeering, everyone was helping each other, it was fun, there was enthusiasm of standing for the right thing and as a woman i didn’t feel unsafe even for a second even though it was much crowded. But on 22nd and 23rd July, it was totally different. More and more fringe elements in the crowd, they were indulging in instigating violence and abusive sloganeering; which is not acceptable. We are here to protest peacefully for the right causes, not create nuisance and induce horror. It also felt very very unsafe. Yes we know they are not real protesters and most likely (99% of) these fringe elements are planted/infiltrated by the regime/rss/hindutva. 1% chance of them being velle youngsters that came here for entertainment such as this (find the videos attached). And you GOTTA LOOK INTO THIS MAN! You gotta find solution(s) to end this nuisance if the protest is to continue. This is just giving it a bad name and keeping people from joining the protest again. Sharing another incident under this post where this crowd even assaulted a man for allegedly chanting “har har modi”. And i can guarantee these are not the real protesters. Someone look into this please!

USCIRF has criticized RSS and can recommend sanctions, but USCIRF does not designate Foreign Terrorist Organizations. RSS is not on the U.S. FTO list. I repeat, the RSS is NOT on the U.S. FTO list. If it isn’t, then Americans have a right to ask why Indian-Americans, particularly Hindu-Americans are being subjected to a special standard based on an undefined allegation of association. This isn’t about protecting RSS from criticism. It’s about protecting Americans from collective guilt. Criticize organizations. Investigate actual misconduct. Punish actual crimes. But creating an ominous political blacklist of Americans based on an undefined religious/ideological association is not a trivial matter. It threatens the basic democratic principle that citizens are judged as individuals-not as members of a suspect community.
