Looks like he can make a tackle, take a tackle , carry and pass and shoot and score. All of that = an excellent signing .

Buying $100M player doesn't mean the player is gonna be good and the money won't add to the player's ability, the most important thing is quality the price is irrelevant whether big or small, Joao gomes is a quality midfielder.

Very good signing and I'm excited to see him flourish in the season ahead.

Lad has an engine, can run all day, harass opponents and is becoming better with the ball (passing, progressing). He was not this adept few years ago. Think Villa did top bit of business there. Unfathomable to think Brasil went to WC with old heads Case and Fabinho instead of him

One breaking passes and running with the ball - two things I wasn’t expecting from him if I am honest

Surprised with the amount of forward passes after reading comments about him being a bit sideways and backwards. Few months under Emery and we have an absolute player.
