A guard did that for me in Bangalore in 2010 on an extremely rainy day when I tried to board a moving Garib Rath express to Hyderabad. I was chasing it with my luggage in hand. He got down, helped me board, and he boarded again. I won't ever forget that gesture of kindness.

The Vande Bharat driver at Bangalore Cantt was kind enough to wait for 30 seconds after I waved, allowing me to board the train just in time before it started moving. Truly grateful for that gesture!
