What are the chances this is his comeuppance... It's definitely messed up, but who just leaves people on the side of the road for no reason? Something tells me dude probably had a hand in his fate.

I've never had an issue with an employee trying to better their lives. I always hope that they give me a chance to counter (if possible, and if they are worth it). Anyone who gets mad because someone wants something better in life is a complete tool.

I always just quit, 2 weeks notice? Nah, 2 seconds notice. Never had it held against me once.

Same thing happened to my daughter, boss "heard" she was looking for another Job and she got fired.
