This is such a healthy view and a clear understanding of stuff, as a small streamer I appericate this being said and jus the geniune reasoning. Raiding as a small streamer is scary for that same reason

Ehh, maybe for streamers with 50-500 viewers that are genuinely afraid of that. Real reason people don't raid is because barely anybody participates anymore.

Orrrr maybe it’s because these smaller streamers probably don’t have mods/chat restrictions so when 10s of thousands of people swarm in spamming slurs it’s probably not a good look for the streamer.

Nobody goes to the fucking raids and small streamers suck at streaming that’s why they are small.

honestly I try to raid out every single time i end my streams. Its just hard to feel good enough about it when those who raid with you, don't help with the raid message, so it still feels like a one person raid when it happens. The struggle as a small streamer

I know big streamers that don’t do this because it derails the entire stream for the smaller streamer, and their chat is overtaken by all the new chatters instead of their loyal fans

I think they dont raid mostly because it exposes view botting. Ive seen people with 100+ viewers but raid 25...

I get not raiding bc of time constraints but I LOVE supporting creator friends or finding new good channels to watch through raiding! Got so excited the first time I had more than a couple of viewers down to join the raid & they were well received by ofc similar sized creators

Is he even talking about small streamers here? It sounds like he is talking about losing viewers from raiding. Who genuinely cares if someone raids or not? Twitch as a platform in general is rape with their ads and censorship. Fuck Twitch.

I love me some Joe but lets be real. He raids his friends or people in his circle mostly like a lot of big streamers. He should be raiding a random every stream if he wants to talk others not using it lol.

Joe doesn’t know that smaller streamers often times can’t handle a large unexpected influx of viewers. Often times its a big hassle for moderation. That is why streamers are more likely to raid people they know.

People barely move with the raids so it’s kind of not effective as much

The portion you lose is low
