Joe Kapp to Gene Washington ❄️ #Vikings
34 Kommentare

I miss the Vikes playing at Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington

Had this poster on my wall as a kid.

Back when the Vikings played in Nordic weather!

JOE!

Gene Washington (MSU), Clinton Jones (MSU) and Ron Yary (USC) all selected in the 1st round of the 1967 NFL Draft. Remember it well...Kapp was such a warrior.

Back when the goal posts were at the FRONT of the end zone. They didn't move them back til my senior year in HS.😂

Field conditions that current fans, players for most part don’t have a clue

Gotta be out at the old MET!!!!!!!! Grew up about 5 miles from there.

Love hearing Pat Summeral 🥹

and Gene Washington was later traded to the 49ers right?

such a shame that there is so much great film and video of the NFL from the late 60s and early 70s but there is almost zero from the NBA, just some limited grainy crap

If you see a watermark the clip has been upscaled

Gene was one of best receivers in NFL at the time. He averaged 21 yards/reception and 9 TD's in '69 yet was virtually ignored in SB 4 with only 1 reception good for 9 yards. Why wasn't he utilized more?

Joe Kapp Santa Fe NM

Outdoor games!!!! Beautiful!!

Joe Kapp... wow... I was so young then, but remember it.

This here era was really good football !🏈

Number 67 was blocked in the back Where was the flag? Oh They didn't throw the flags like they do now Touchdown!!!

IN. THE. SNOW. Grew up a Vikings fan & this is why.

My favorite team 👏🏻❤️👏🏻❤️👏🏻❤️👏🏻❤️👏🏻❤️

Love those helmets and uniforms

Joe Kapp did have a bad game though against MASH 4077 and lost to a team with Elliot Gould at QB.

I think this was the first football game I ever saw.

When men were men and the Vikings played outside...

Old Metropolitan Stadium. True football, Bud Grant style.

Kapp threw a beautiful deep ball & in the ❄️ no less! 💪

Joe Kapp - A Man of Machismo

👍👍👏👏👏👏

Joe was great for those few years he played for the Vikings . A very old school tough sob!

'40 for 60', was Joe Kapp's rallying cry. It worked for one year. The Vikings made Super Bowl IV.

This sucks I had to be reminded!

Couldn’t throw a spiral

Kapp played 8 years in the CFL, Western conference, probably liked the snow.

When Vikings football was elite.
