That's moronic. They should weigh in the day of the fight. That simple.

Have never been a fan of weight manipulation. I’m a nobody but I imagine fighters would be in such a better mood during training camps if all they had to focus on was training for their opponent. There’s just too many weight bullies in combat sports.

This is a terrible idea, tough weight cuts are literally the decision of the fighter. Grown adults who consent to it. Highschool kids make weight for free, these guys are supposed to be professional. You don’t want to struggle then move up a weight class or two.

or you could just make it so that you can’t be 10 pounds over your weight class on fight night. 155ers are usually 170 in there, welterweights are 180-190, middleweights show up at 200-220 and light heavyweights can be from 210-240. It’s all retarded make pretend anyways

I hate weight cuts , you are fighting for 155 belt but on fight night you are not 155 this madness should stop

There are many fighters like Paddy who likes the get much heavier out of the camp.

it's called a rehydration clause and yes it should be implemented because fk the weight bullies and obliterating your mitochondria over and over to keep it competitive

There is no way to stop it. Everybody would still get a way to escape that and that makes it even more risky

Jk because he is not me maybe

Try that with Paddy Pimblett no chance of sticking to that, to say Rogan has been commentating since day 1 he comes out with some ridiculous ideas about MMA

Isn't it easier to just weigh in right before the fight?

"[The UFC] should figure out a way to stop it." - same story for 10-15 years now. Happening any second now xD
