In the 60s, I had a weekend job on a milk round. Part of my job on Saturday was to sit in the milk float, while Don the milkman, spent a couple hours in the betting shop 😂😂

They were very entrepreneurial. Soon branched out into the not so innocent, ‘I’ll mind your car for 20p, mate’ whenever you parked near the city centre or one of the football grounds.

Ahh being sent to the sweetshop to buy fags and hoping you could get a 5p mix too

People may take the piss but what jobs are there now for youngsters

Bring back the days of alcoholic fathers lying to their children and abandoning them to tedious boredom while they go get lit up

I used to do the same with me dads works van when he went into Peter Kavanaghs on a Friday got 30p crisp and a bottle of Lemonade for doing it 🤣🤣

The Lep ,relatives lived in those tenements to the right ,Over the Bridge they used to call that area just down the rd from Scotty. Used to ther for stay behind in the 90s
