John Bolton on Afghanistan and Germany: We did engineer successful regime changes. In the case of Afghanistan, I think our mistake was leaving. We’ve been in Germany for 80 years. By the way, speaking of regime changes, that was a successful regime change.

U.S. regime change wars in Afghanistan and Iraq failed miserably. So I asked Gordon Chang: “What makes Iran different?” This was his response: “We’ve had [successful] regime change operations like Germany and Japan.” “I think the reason why Afghanistan and Iraq didn’t go well is because you didn’t have the secure environment in which business could come in and transform society.” “Iran is not Iraq.” “Iran has a tradition.” “That tradition was interrupted for 47 years by the theocratic regime, but the Iranian people will get this right.” “And we saw how many people in Iran wanted to be free.” Gordon G. Chang

Even in Afghanistan and Iraq, the problem was not regime change… It was what the US did after the regime change.

Himes: All we have is history to go on, and we engineered three regime changes in the region over the course of the last 20 years: Gaddafi in Libya—we had a lot to do with that. We destroyed the Taliban in Afghanistan in 2001. And, of course, Iraq. Now: Libya, Afghanistan, and Iraq—did any of those go our way? No, they did not.

German Chancellor Merz on Iran: Is regime change really the goal? If that is the goal, I do not believe they will achieve it. In Afghanistan it took 20 years, and the regime change was from one mullah regime to another.

In my recent interview With Salman Durrani brother, I have stated that; "Any country [Including #Pakistan] that facilitates regime change in Afghanistan [overthrow the Taliban regime] will be supported by the people of Afghanistan."

NEW: Tucker challenges Cruz to name a successful U.S. regime change—Cruz fires back with the collapse of the Soviet Union. Tucker: “I wonder, though, is there a successful regime change that the United States supported that you’re aware of in the last hundred years?” Cruz: “Sure. Defeating the Soviet Union and the Soviet Union collapsing and winning the Cold War, that was the most consequential step for U.S. national security interests of our lifetimes.” Tucker: “Okay. So you would classify that as a regime change that we affected?” Cruz: “Absolutely.”

Regime change is not our decision. We learned that the hard way in Iraq and Afghanistan - I fought in both of those wars. We ended up there for a long time in a war we didn’t understand. Regime change can only come from one place: the people of Iran. But let’s be clear - we may not be at war with Iran, but they are at war with us. I support Israel’s strikes fully and hope they are successful in debilitating Iran’s military.

John Bolton: "I think he's been looking for some time for a way to get out of this. And although it started as a regime change operation, which I think was the right objective, I think he's been nervous about the outcome for some time."

🚨JOHN BOLTON VS AFSHIN RATTANSI: REGIME CHANGE IN IRAN Bolton: ‘I don’t think the war is over because I don’t think we’ve done the necessary work to solve the problem in the way I think it has to be solved, which is through regime change…but it’s not clear to me at this point that Trump really knows what his objective is.’ Afshin Rattansi: ‘What do you mean, regime change? I mean, you’d back ground forces going in?’ Bolton: ‘I don’t think it’s necessary. I think if you look at Iran, with I think a sophisticated, well-educated population, this regime was in trouble long before the war started. For years its economy has been in desperate straits. That’s what the people were demonstrating about all over Iran in December and January.’ Afshin: ‘The economic situation isn’t necessarily demonstrating a demand for a complete change of regime.’ Bolton: ‘Not only is the economy bad, they’re running out of water. The irrigation policies of the government to develop what Ayatollah Khomeini wanted, which was complete agricultural autonomy, has devastated the groundwater. They’re even talking about having to move the capital out of Tehran. That’s how bad it is.’ Afshin: ‘Flint, Michigan had polluted water, that’s not a reason for changing the regime in the United States.’ —Watch the full interview with John Bolton, Donald Trump’s former National Security Adviser in the quoted post below👇 John Bolton

My latest on IndiaToday on the possibility of an Iranian regime change: "The chances of regime change in Iran are almost zero. Since WWII, the US has attempted about 70 regime changes. 61% of those have failed completely. The remaining 39% have been left in a complete mess."

Absolute bombshell. John Bolton confirms on live TV that Benjamin Netanyahu was actively pushing Donald Trump to pursue regime change in Iran during his first term. The Zionist regime has been trying to drag America into this disastrous war for years.

John Bolton on Iran: I think and have thought for decades that the only way you're ever going to get true lasting peace and security in the Middle East is to get rid of the regime in Tehran. I think the U.S.-Israeli strikes did considerable damage to the regime. I think we made a lot of mistakes, that's for sure. But the objective is still realizable if we were willing to think through how to do it.

“When we think back to Afghanistan and Iraq, the problem was not the regime change—of course we should have chased the Taliban out of Kabul, I don’t even think it was bad to get rid of Saddam Hussein… the problem was in the aftermath we decided to become nannies.” The Dinesh Podcast Host and the filmmaker behind The Dragon’s Prophecy Dinesh D'Souza argues the big mistake in previous adventures in the Middle East weren’t the regime change wars themselves, but rather the nation building in the aftermath.
