From a sheer stuff standpoint, RHP Cam Leiter (FSU Baseball) has one of the loudest arsenals in this year's Draft class. Was a member of the AAC All-Freshman team selection in 2023 after posting a 4.92 ERA with 80 Ks across 56.2 IP. Leiter's first season at FSU was cut short due to injury, though he showed big time flashes in his 7 starts (35 innings). Worked a 4.63 ERA with 56 Ks to 22 BB. Leiter has a high-waisted, prototypical pitcher's frame at 6'5" and 234-pounds. Has added physicality year-over-year. Compact and explosive delivery with big time arm speed. Attacks from a three-quarter slot with a low release height. Dynamic mover, blocks well with his lead leg and really drives his back hip through. Powerful! Fastball sits in the 94-96 range, but has been up to 99. Jumps out of the hand from his ~5'10" release height and flashes riding life through the zone. Plays up—and is at its best—when located in the top-half of the zone. Also where it gets the most whiffs, and last year it generated a 30% miss rate. Improved command of the offering will make it that much more effective. 55 right now. His most used breaking ball is a high-70s-to-low-80s CB. Plenty of depth with sharp, downward teeth. Almost a true 12-to-6 shape. Will use it against both right and lefthanded hitters, and last year it held opposing hitters to a minuscule .071 average. Generated an impressive 46% miss rate, it's a 60 right now. Leiter's upper-80s-to-low-90s power SL is another effective off-speed offering. Late lateral tilt with some depth, will throw it almost exclusively to RHH. Another pitch that flashes plus, and last year it garnered a 38% miss rate. He threw it just 11% of the time in '24, but Leiter also features an upper-80s-to-low-90s CH. Ample fade to the arm side, though at times it will have more tumbling life than fade. Not to sound like a broken record, but Leiter's CH also flashes plus. 44% miss rate last season. Throws it with conviction. If you catch Leiter on the right day, you could leave the yard with a 55 and three 60s on his pitch mix. The two biggest keys for Leiter will be taking a step forward in the pitchability department—which in turn will make his arsenal that much better—and staying healthy. He certainly has first round upside this July. (🎥: FSU Baseball)

My friend an active high-ranking official in Puntland sent me a video today. I asked him after opening the clip “Yo, what’s this video?”, which showed a group of furious young men in Puntland trying to tear down a giant metal pole with President Said Abdullahi Deni’s poster hanging from it. “That’s from Garowe,” he replied. “The youth are done with him. They hate him now really, truly hate him. And for good reason.” I asked, “But why?” “Not long ago, a boat full of Puntland youth trying to escape to Europe drowned in the Mediterranean. And Deni? He’s out there cashing cheques in Dubai.“ “That’s why they’re ripping down his posters. That’s why they’re trying to uproot the entire pole. It’s not just anger it’s desperation. They know exactly who’s responsible. Deni turned Puntland into a client state, auctioned to the highest bidder, and buried its future in someone else’s war.“ I already knew most of what he told me but hearing it again, especially while watching that video, hit differently. He went on: “You know what Deni’s doing, right?” he continued. “He’s literally helping the UAE fund a genocide in Sudan. That Bosaso airbase? He handed it over to the Emiratis. And now it’s being used every single day—without exception to fly weapons and ammunition to the RSF.” And not just weapons. He said Colombian mercenaries are being flown in to fight alongside the RSF. And when they get wounded? They’re brought right back to Bosaso for treatment—like it’s some kind of private RSF field hospital, built on Somali soil. “Deni is getting paid millions every month for this,” he added. “And all that blood money? Straight into his own pocket.” He added that ‘’Deni isn’t just betraying us he’s getting rich while doing it. The man who once styled himself as a servant of Puntland as an Islamist is now the wealthiest men in Somalia. And what has he done with that wealth?’’ “Nothing for Puntland. Nothing for the youth. Nothing for development,” he said. “Instead, he’s been funneling UAE money into private investments overseas. He owns around 200 transport trucks in Zambia. He holds shares in multiple companies in Nairobi. His whole family—including Col. AbdiRabi—live in lavish estates in Nairobi. He even has business operations in Salalah, Oman, run by his younger brother Mahad Deni.” And it gets darker—my friend told me they’ve used government authority and tax pressure to force Somali entrepreneurs out of the market, taking over their businesses through intimidation. That’s who he really is: a man who weaponizes state power to crush competition, all while pretending to be a nationalist. “And don’t forget,” my friend added, “he’s been doing business with Dubai for over 30 years. He’s tied to them by the waist.” Meanwhile, federal projects that once brought hard currency into Puntland’s economy have been obstructed under his leadership. Unemployment is out of control. Young people have nothing no jobs, no future, no hope. My friend—who told me all of this—looked genuinely ashamed. There were things he said that I can’t even bring myself to write here. And at the end, he added something that stayed with me: “Umut brother,” he said, “let’s set everything else aside for a moment. Sudan stood by us in our darkest days. They helped us when no one else would. Now, how are we supposed to look into the eyes of those innocent Sudanese children murdered alongside their mothers when we meet them in the hereafter?” I couldn’t respond. I just sat in silence.

1B Anthony Martinez (UCI Baseball) is an intriguing college bat to keep an eye on this season. Was one of the best Freshmen in the country in '23 and posted a gaudy .394/.471/.619 slash line with 19 2B, 11 HR and 60 RBIs. Enjoyed another productive season last year and hit .316/.422/.492 with 18 2B, 9 HR, 74 RBIs and more BB (36) than Ks (29). This summer he did what very few players do nowadays, which is start on the Cape, leave for Team USA and finish out the summer on the Cape. At 6'3" and 230-lbs Martinez is plenty physical with present natural strength. Stands upright in the box with a slightly open front side and a medium-high handset. Relaxed setup. Martinez has a rhythmic load that includes a small barrel tip. Minimal drifting of his hands and is a small-strider. It's a compact operation in which he consistently takes a direct path to contact. Real hitterish look. Martinez has a bit of an interesting profile for his position in that he's a hit-over-power guy. He has a highly advanced feel for the barrel and double-plus contact skills. Martinez in '24 worked an 86% overall contact rate and an eye-popping 96% overall IZ contact rate. All-fields approach and sprays line drives from foul pole to foul pole. Advanced pitch recognition skills and swing decisions, will sometimes expand the zone against secondaries down. However, it's far from a hindrance. Not afraid to get aggressive early in counts. Comfortably 55 hit for me. While it's hit-over-power, Martinez isn't without some thump. He can drive the baseball into either gap, though the vast majority of his HR power is to the pull side. Posted a Max EV last spring of 104.3. More XBH power than HR power. Would give it a 50. Martinez is without a doubt a 1B/DH type professionally, so you're buying the bat. Finished product physically, but I believe in the hit tool. 4th-6th round type for me this July.

Trooper John Fanning, one of Michael Proctor’s supervisors at the NCDAO State Police Detective Unit (SPDU), reportedly “supervised” the jury at the #KarenReadTrial. As if this conflict alone wasn’t concerning, the fact that Fanning was later under an inconclusive internal investigation by the MSP for “whether [he] failed to adequately supervise by not taking appropriate action after Trooper Proctor sent inappropriate texts to a group of subordinate members, specifically, if he took any corrective action to address the unprofessionalism and inappropriateness of Trooper Proctor's texts”—thereby making him a potential witness & demonstrating his clear conflict, is incredibly concerning. In the full sit down interview w/ #KarenRead & Attorney Alan Jackson, Ted Daniel asks them about the potential jury tampering that occurred at the first trial—notably with the ultra curious last minute dismissal of 3 jurors, whose body language, reactions/expressions & outward demeanor appeared favorable to the defense, in addition to the “supervision” of the jury by one of Michael Proctor’s bosses, NCDAO SPDU Trooper John Fanning. It would be dishonest to try to claim that Trooper Fanning had no stake in the outcome of the Karen Read trial. Arguably, anyone with ties to the NCDAO, its SPDU or the Canton Police Department—and notably those with close ties to Michael Proctor, like his own supervisor, have clear conflicts of interest in this case. As you may recall, Trooper John Fanning was the lead investigator in the Sandra Birchmore case where he and his investigators concluded that Birchmore committed suicide while allegedly pregnant with a fellow Police Officer, Matthew Farwell’s baby, and wasn’t the obvious victim of murder by that same Officer who also raped and groomed her from a young age as revealed by 30k+ text messages inexplicably “overlooked” by Trooper Nicholas Guarino & Fanning. The Feds investigated that “investigation” too and have since indicted Matthew Farwell in Sandra Birchmore‘s murder. Additionally, Trooper Fanning was in one of Michael Proctor’s abhorrent group text message threads where he disparaged Karen Read. Fanning was subsequently internally investigated by MSP for this, and his failure to properly “supervise” Trooper Proctor—interesting that such a person would be chosen to “supervise” the jury. In a statement from the State Police, they said: “The Department’s internal affairs investigation determined that there was insufficient evidence to prove or disprove the allegation that Lieutenant Fanning violated rules and regulations by failing to uphold the responsibilities of a supervisory member. This allegation has been classified as unfounded.” Frankly, given the circumstances of this case, it would be concerning if any member of the State Police oversaw and supervised the jury. Why was ANY member of the State Police supervising the jury? Has anyone ever heard of this before—Police Officers from the same agency that investigated, testified against & was a part of the prosecution against a defendant having one of their personnel in charge of and in direct control of the jury? This can’t possibly be a standard practice due to the obvious existing conflict, no? Plus, were it standard protocol, then why wasn’t the defense made aware of this fact until 10 minutes before making closing argument, after a nearly 10 week long trial? ——— Something majorly stinks about this, and perhaps it sheds some light on something peculiar that one of the deliberating jurors, who was recently interviewed by Aidan Kearney, kept saying in regard to the jury’s deliberative process. Specifically, something that stood out to me from juror Ron’s interview was his repeated use and references of the other jurors’ use of the term “distractors” to qualify or describe the abundant evidence representing “reasonable doubt” brought out by the defense at trial. “Distractors.” It’s somewhat of a novel term, especially in this context, and is obviously antithetical to a jury’s duty to assess a case based on the proof beyond a reasonable doubt standard, which is inherently intertwined with an assessment of the existence of, or lack thereof, reasonable doubt. There was no evidence or instructions from the court that came out at trial directing jurors to view defense evidence or ARCCA experts, for instance, as “distractors,” and the jury is very specifically instructed not to view/consume/bring any outside information into their deliberations. In other words, if they’re unsure who the ARCCA experts were there on behalf of (the Feds), they’re specifically told not to “fill in the blank” with information that’s not there, or evidence that didn’t come in at trial. So where did the information—this use of the term “distractors” come from? Who fed this term and this concept to the jury? The reason why it seems like it was “fed” to the jury is because it goes against everything the court, Judge Beverly Cannone, instructed them on. So, what prompted the whole “distractors” concept to taint the jurors’ minds and deliberations? ——— What immediately came to mind was the jury tampering by court clerk Becky Hill in the Alex Murdaugh murder trial. In that case, according to Murdaugh’s attorneys, Ms. Hill “invented a story about a Facebook post to remove a juror she believed might not vote guilty”. Judge Clifton Newman, who oversaw the murder trial, removed the female juror from the panel. According to the Murdaugh defense motion, Ms. Hill had gone to Judge Newman – the day after Murdaugh testified, not long before closing arguments – claiming that she had seen a post in the local Facebook group ‘Walterboro Word of Mouth’ from the juror’s former husband, Tim Stone. The post purportedly claimed that the juror was drinking with her ex-husband and, when she became drunk, she expressed her views on whether Murdaugh was innocent or guilty. A follow-up post from an account called Timothy Stone apologised for the post saying that he was driven by “Satan”. Murdaugh’s attorneys claimed that the Mr. Stone behind the Facebook posts was actually a random Georgia man who was ranting about his wife’s aunt – and has no connection to the case. Additionally, information from jurors had come to the defense’s attention about inappropriate comments supposedly made to them by Ms. Hill while she was “supervising” them—the same role as “supervisor” that Trooper John Fanning allegedly played in the Karen Read trial. In Murdaugh’s case, the jurors were *actually* brought back into the court and were called to the stand one by one and questioned about potential comments that may have tainted their verdict. A female juror, identified only as juror Z, said that Ms. Hill had told some of the jurors to “watch [Murdaugh] closely.” “To me, it felt like ... she made it feel like he was already guilty,” juror Z said. A separate juror, Juror E, said that he heard Ms. Hill say “watch [Murdaugh’s] body language”, but claimed that this did not affect his decision. ——— There were reports, at the time of the dismissal of the 3 defense-favorable jurors at Karen Read’s trial, that right before closing arguments, Trooper Fanning had reported the information responsible for dismissing these jurors to Judge Cannone. Among that information was reportedly a story about one of those jurors, claiming they’d been overheard discussing the case while drinking at a bar (or something to that effect)—a story that sounded highly suspicious at the time, particularly given the fact that Trooper Fanning had allegedly had that information weeks before, but never reported it to the court. The similarity in Becky Hill and John Fanning’s “stories” leading to the dismissal of defense-favorable jurors is rather uncanny. ——— Is it not problematic to have individuals—with conflicts of interest, who are also potential witnesses, and who seemingly have a vested interest in the outcome of the trial—be in charge of overseeing and supervising the jury? I’ve attached the referenced MSP Internal Investigative Report for Trooper Fanning to this post (attached in the comments below). What’s troubling is that, despite acknowledging in their report that “these allegations came to light on June 10, 2024, during the trial,” they didn’t immediately initiate an internal investigation, but instead waited until AFTER the trial ended, July 3, 2024, to launch their internal investigation, almost as if they were planning on not initiating an investigation had Karen Read been convicted, because apparently in that case the misconduct would’ve been justified… or something? It should also be noted that this same practice was employed for most, if not all, of the other Police Officers in this case, whose misconduct was exposed by the defense throughout the prosecution’s case at trial—whereby, despite admissions and the existence of evidence of their misconduct, the MSP, NCDAO and Canton PD seemingly did everything they could to avoid initiating any investigations or holding their officers accountable for their misconduct until after the trial ended—when they could no longer justify not doing anything. It makes you wonder: Had Karen Read been convicted, do you think they’d (the MSP, NCDAO or CPD) ever launch any internal investigations into the misconduct of their officers, as evidenced at trial, weeks before? ——— It should be mentioned that in the Sandra Birchmore case, which Trooper Fanning led the investigation of, despite the Feds spoon feeding the State Police & NCDAO (DA Michael Morrissey’s Office) overwhelming evidence + probable cause, in addition to punting the ball back to the state to do the right thing and charge Farwell with murder—a state level charge, they’ve refused to take any action to this day. In fact, not only has it now been nearly 6 months since the Feds apprehended & indicted Farwell, but the NCDAO, Fanning and the State Police, aside from taking no action, have made no statements and are still of the official position that Sandra Birchmore killed herself. To try to save face, the NCDAO, through its former spokesperson David Traub, tried to create the impression that the DA’s Office had been long working in collaboration with the Feds to secure an arrest in the Sandra Birchmore case, claiming that “two of [the NCDAO SPDU’s] detectives were present at the command post ... while federal authorities were attempting to take Matthew Farwell into custody”—whatever that means. This, of course, is patently absurd because the DA’s Office and State Police could’ve “secured an arrest” years ago—nobody was stopping them, but instead they framed Sandra Birchmore for her own murder. Spokesperson Traub then had the gall to say that “much of the information that they [federal authorities] built on originated with our investigation, including the collection of thousands of text messages.” (See a collection of statements from the NCDAO on the Birchmore case from reporting over the years, attached in comments below). While the Feds might be somewhat playing along with this narrative, don’t be fooled. Perhaps it’s to appease the very individuals who they’re investigating for the supposed coverup of Sandra Birchmore’s murder. Why? If the Feds had actually been collaborating with the State Police investigators from the NCDAO who investigated Sandra’s death, then at the Feds’ press conference announcing Farewell’s indictment, U.S. Attorney (at the time) Joshua Levy wouldn’t have feigned ignorance when asked who the lead investigator was on the case before his agency got involved (see clip 3 attached). Had the Feds actually been *collaborating* with the State Police & the DA’s Office, John Fanning’s name would’ve been the first thing uttered out of Josh Levy’s mouth. On a side note: I think this is very telling. Does it mean the U.S. Attorney’s Office is investigating Fanning? Who knows. But one thing’s for sure: Josh Levy 100% knew who the State Police lead investigator was and he deliberately avoided saying it. This observation is reflected in FBI Special Agent Chenee Castruita’s 45-page long probable cause affidavit for the arrest of Matthew Farwell, which notably contains ZERO references whatsoever to John Fanning, or any of the other involved State Police investigators for that matter. That’s telling. If there was so much “collaboration,” like DA Michael Morrissey’s Office wants the public to think, then not only would USA Josh Levy have had, at the very least, Trooper Fanning up there side-by-side with him at that press conference, but he would’ve acknowledged him by name in his press conference. Why hasn’t the NCDAO charged disgraced former Stoughton cop Matthew Farwell with murder? Is it yet another case of “pinning it on the girl” to cover up for fellow Police Officers’ crimes? ——— Of note, Trooper Fanning grew up in Stoughton, graduating from Stoughton High School in 1998, the same year that Matthew and his twin brother William—who also grew up in Stoughton—then 12 years old, became participants in the Stoughton police youth program. As Karen Read points out in the interview with Ted Daniels: “There were familiarities among players that never should’ve happened. There’s a sleeve of homicide in the Norfolk DA’s office, as there is in the other counties of Massachusetts. And yet, the person assigned to investigate this case—ostensibly investigate this case—lives a mile down the street from the crime scene.” (See clip 4 attached). Why is it that when there’s seemingly crimes—in this case murders, involving cops, that the NCDAO SPDU appears to send the most conflicted Trooper with the closest ties to that cop/those cops? In Officer John O’Keefe’s murder, the Trooper that lives down the street from 34 Fairview and is “second family” with the Alberts is obviously the last person who should’ve ever responded to that case, yet he was the lead investigator. Given Trooper John Fanning’s close ties to Stoughton, isn’t it interesting that he’s the one who was the lead investigator of Sandra Birchmore‘s death—a murder that allegedly involved a former Stoughton cop? What say you?

One player I've really grown to like over the last several months is OF Kane Kepley (Carolina Baseball). Started right away at Liberty where he hit .310/.457/.432 with 13 XBH, but had a breakout summer in the Coastal Plain League to the tune of a .339/.468/.546 slash line with 8 2B, 5 HR, 26 SB and 29 BB to 11 Ks. Carried that momentum over into last season and hit .330/.482/.521 with 12 2B, 9 HR, 25 SB and an impressive 53 BB to just 27 Ks. Kepley then proceeded to have a productive summer on the Cape in which he was named an All-Star. Compact build at 5'8" and 165-pounds with sneaky strength packed into his frame. Crouched stance in the box with a medium-high handset and slightly open front side. Kepley has a minimal load and utilizes a toe tap that leads into a normal stride. With two strikes, Kepley will widen his stance and sit deeper in his base, choke up a bit, and shorten his stride in order to maximize his chances of moving the baseball. Quick hands with present bat speed. Will drop his back side to help create leverage. Overall, it's a compact operation in which he takes an efficient path to contact. Kepley's bat-to-ball skills and hand-eye coordination are outstanding. Last spring at Liberty, he boasted a 90% overall contact rate and a 93% overall IZ contact rate. It was a similar story this summer, as he ran an 89% overall contact rate and a 94% overall IZ contact rate. Kepley's pitch recognition skills and approach are both highly advanced and he rarely expands the strike zone. On the Cape, his overall chase rate was a minuscule 13%. Kepley has high-level barrel skills, a trait that is on display day in and day out. His bat control and adjustability are also advanced. Kepley is capable of using the entire field, but his highest quality of contact does come to the pull side. Hit tool is comfortably a 55, but it's closer to a 60. Kepley without a doubt is a hit-over-power profile, but there is a little bit of thump to the pull side. Has shown the ability to turn on pitches on the inner-half and drive them to the PS. For a player with this kind of profile, he posted respectable Max EVs of 106.1 and 101 during the spring and summer, respectively. Below-average power, but he'll run into a ball on occasion and hit 10+ HRs this spring. Not only is Kepley a plus runner, he most importantly knows HOW to run and get the most out of his legs. Quick first step and really advanced baseball sense both translate to the base paths where he's a chaos causer and speeds up the game for opposing teams. Kepley's speed also allows him to take an extra base on a ball in the gap or down the line. Across 179 games between college and summer ball, Kepley is 89-for-97 on stolen base attempts. Kepley this spring will rove CF for North Carolina. His speed and instincts plays at the position and he has gap-to-gap range with solid closing speed. Gets good reads off the bat. Kepley's arm is fringy, but his overall defensive skillset will give him the opportunity to prove he can stick at the position professionally. Versatile enough to play all 3 OF spots. Kepley is an old-fashioned baseball rat who plays at one speed. Selfless, high-energy player who can affect the game in a myriad of ways. A little reminiscent of Tommy Hawke. Top-5 round type this July.

➡️ The ZANU fighter was just defeated by a 60-year old guy. 😌 This guy, Themba Gorimbo, had the support of most Zimbabweans when he entered the UFC, because – what a great achievement and representation for our country! 👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾 🇿🇼 Then, he made the quintessential error that many shallow Zimbabweans who find fame MAKE – he involved himself in regime politics ... because he saw it as a way to make a quick fortune. 💰💰 He started to ride high on ARROGANCE, and use his platform to insult and mock the opposition movement while promoting ED and ZANU PF regularly. He is especially known for stalking Winky D, and posting negative comments and mockeries about him, in order to please his ZANU masters. He thought that if he placed himself on the buttered side 🧈🍞 – the OPPRESSOR’S side - then he would be on the fast track to wealth, freebies and trinkets. 💵 Amateur mistake. When you’re a professional athlete there is no upside to playing politics. 🤷🏾‍♂️ You’ll just alienate many supporters unnecessarily, and attract controversy. You also draw negative attention to yourself internationally. MMA is a global sport and UFC is the pinnacle of the sport. So then he started losing supporters and attracting criticism ... but continued on his arrogant high horse, believing that his commitment to ZANU would pay off. Then when was CHOKED OUT in his last fight and lost consciousness in front of the entire world 😴- he thereafter had a "Damascus moment" when he realized that HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of UFC fans around the world were joyous about his humiliation! 😃 Especially when at one point he enjoyed widespread support and a growing fanbase - even the Rock had given him a house in the early days ... before Gorimbo showed himself to be an arrogant, toxic chump. 🤦🏾‍♂️ Then after being choked out he tried to “CHANGE” and win people over again, and started becoming anti-Zanu, etc. And it has worked for some people, but for a lot of OTHER people, including me (who was initially a HUGE fan), the damage had been done... 🙅🏾‍♂️ I always support Zimbabwean athletes and teams PASSIONATELY 🇿🇼 – but this guy has shown his true colours, and I find him to be unsavoury... He’s someone who tried to use his platform to benefit from the REGIME. He supported OPPRESSION and mocked the suffering of Zimbabweans, and efforts of the opposition. He is NOT a good guy. 😏 He is only now pretending to be in support of the PEOPLE because he has seen how supporting dictators will negatively affect his MMA career. It actually may be too late for him to redeem himself because even on the MMA twitterverse, I see a LOT of people from around the world posting negatively about his arrogance. They are also calling him a SCAMMER because of the library he had said he was building “in his village” and apparently people donated money, but there is ZERO library in existence 🤔- and when he has been pressed to explain he has been saying to critics that he built ¾ of the library and then he had to tear it down for some reason... 👀 I will always view him as a “ZANU fighter” because that’s what he proudly was for a long time, and has now realized his miscalculation ... and trying to pretend to be otherwise. Anyway, good luck to him. Because these days KARMA is visiting him.

DIPLOMATIC KATOGO IN GULU! In Uganda, we love our katogo. It’s breakfast, it’s brunch, it’s a national coping mechanism. You take matooke, throw in some offals, maybe beans, a chunk of cassava here, a lost Irish potato there - and stir until it makes sense… or at least until it's too late to change it. Now picture diplomacy being cooked up in the same way, in Gulu, in an 'Agulu' (pot in Luo). The pot’s on the fire, the world’s watching, and just when the broth starts to simmer, someone dumps in a hot chili - unannounced, uninvited, unfiltered. The spice? A stray midnight tweet from a high-ranking somebody who- maybe, prefers caps lock and bravado to commas and common sense. Next thing you know, the guests at the diplomatic table - well-mannered, napkin-wielding types - start fanning their mouths. One of them politely chokes, “This flavor profile is…unusual.” Another mutters, “We were expecting civility, not civil war seasoning.” The chef’s spokesperson, instead of adjusting the recipe, bangs the 'Agulu' in defiance: “You ate spicy food in Europe and didn't blame America! Why complain now?” Cue a full-blown kitchen argument: sautéed hypocrisy, grilled ego, and one generous scoop of historical finger-pointing. Then, as the stew threatens to boil over, an old wise sous-chef - once deep in the spice trade - raises a ladle and says, “This is not how we serve statecraft.” He reminds the kitchen staff that while the main chef might run the kitchen, he shouldn't hurl sauce like he’s in a food fight. Finally, a family elder steps in, wiping his brow with a gravy-stained apron. “Sorry about the drama,” he offers sheepishly, “but who knows what the young lad will season with next?” He added: "We call a ceasefire, then discuss the way forward with this meal kubanga Akabanga Chilli Oil is especially HOT!". And so the diplomatic katogo simmers on - confusing, spicy, oddly tasty, but one misplaced tweet away from a full-blown food poisoning incident. Bon appétit, world. 🚨 WARNING: SOMETHING EXTREMELY BAD IS COMING TOMORROW... President Trump just said Iran may cease to exist as a country. This is not a press release. This is not diplomatic language. Read it again slowly. "The Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist." Markets open in hours. Nobody is positioned for this. The ceasefire is functionally dead. The US just struck Iranian missile storage, drone facilities and coastal radar sites for the second time. Iran has now violated the agreement multiple times in 48 hours: - Attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz. - Drone strikes on Bahrain. And now US military response escalating with each cycle. This is not de-escalation, this is a ladder being climbed one rung at a time. And Trump just told the world what's at the top of that ladder. Here's what happens to markets when this opens tomorrow. Oil doesn't spike, oil explodes. The Strait of Hormuz is now an active military zone between the United States and Iran. 20% of global oil supply runs through water where both sides are now conducting strikes. There is no scenario where energy prices don't go vertical from here. Then everything else reprices around that number. Inflation expectations that the Fed spent two years killing come back overnight. Every rate cut priced into Q4 disappears. The bond market has to absorb a geopolitical shock on top of an already fragile macro setup. Yields spike, liquidity tightens. There is no hedge big enough for what tomorrow morning looks like. Gold should be a safe haven. Gold just lost $12 trillion and is down 28% from ATH. The usual refuge isn't there. Crypto should be uncorrelated. $MSTR is down 81%. The institutional crypto trade is already unwinding. Cash is the only position that doesn't have a problem right now. Trump's statement ends with a warning that has no diplomatic exit ramp. "There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable." That sentence was written for a reason. It was posted publicly for a reason. The deal isn't failing. The deal is over. What comes after a failed deal between the US and Iran in the Strait of Hormuz isn't a negotiation. Markets haven't priced that word yet. Tomorrow they start. This sounds SCARY, but I will keep you updated on everything here When I rotate money, I will post my moves here so my FOLLOWERS can SAVE their money Follow me and turn NOTIFICATIONS ON, as I will share my strategy soon Many will regret not following me earlier...

Bryson DeChambeau hasn’t played since the Ryder Cup and he won’t be again until LIV Golf Riyadh in February. He says he’s been speed training through the off season though and has a target of reaching a comfortable 200mph ball speed. He’s also been playing table tennis with America’s number 1, Kanak Jha. Speaking to Tom Hobbs from Flushing It Golf, Bryson said: “I’m not playing until Riyadh. I’m going to be going in hot though. I’m sneaky working on my game really hard. “I'm going to start ramping up my speed again. I ramped up my speed in November, got it to where I was pumping over 190 quite efficiently with some slow golf balls and stuff. I got to 200 quite a bit. “I haven’t done much recently though. I was playing some ping pong actually the past couple of days with the number one USA player, Kanak Jha. He's so much fun. Ping Pong is my favourite sport, so I got to learn a little bit from the best in the U.S. He’s twenty first in the world. So nobody's really gotten that high from the U.S. which is sweet. “But I'll get back to speed training right after Christmas and going into the new season, I want to be close to 200. So that's my goal. I’ll just get to a place where I’m super comfortable swinging fast.” The last time Bryson went after speed he gained an enormous amount of mass. He’s come back down through the weights though over the last few seasons and is much healthier for it. But, if Force = Mass x Acceleration, will he look to add more mass again and what’s more important, increasing acceleration or gaining mass? “They're both very important. If you don't have any mass, you can't accelerate it. It's a symbiotic relationship. It's actually more like F equals M V squared, that’s more of the velocity side of it. “You can accelerate too, but what I would say is the most important thing is it's not necessarily the mass or the acceleration, it’s the ability to put pressure onto the club. So you're able to apply pressure and control that through your grip strengths around a circle, that's probably the more important piece. Applying controlled pressure to the golf club like grip pressure. “It's not that you just accelerate the club, because you have to learn how to control the face through that motion as well. So it's all, you know, you can say it's acceleration, but it's a lot of grip pressure stuff. The more you control the grip pressure and how you're moving that grip, I would say that’s more the answer to your question. “And I guess at a certain point there’s dimishning return with, you know, going up in the mass and even down in the mass. There is a sweet spot for swinging a golf club. If you get a speedstick, there's just not enough mass behind it to create the smash factor necessary, and vice versa if it is too heavy, you can’t swing it that fast. “I'll always say swinging and accelerating the club is probably the most important, but the real answer is applying the most pressure to the golf club. The grip pressure. You’re not gripping it tighter, but your hand force into it pulling it and then throwing it around the corner.” Continues in comments thread below. Can't help but smile at this one. One of those stories I think we are going to look back and laugh at one day. ⬇️ James Voorhies was an uncommitted catcher (and a very good one) just over a year ago. Hadn't thrown a varsity inning on the mound. In October going into his senior year I played catch with him at the local elementary school. We threw on a crabgrass field and I told him after 15 minutes of playing catch that his arm, body type, and feel for the baseball were far too advanced for him to not be on the mound. James agreed to start throwing bullpens and "give it a shot". 3 weeks later I did a workout with some of our clients and James threw a bullpen on the game mound. He was 85-87 and absolutely pounded the zone. Threw 3 of the dirtiest changeups I’ve seen (we had played with a kick-change grip a few weeks prior). I had never seen him throw against hitters. Saw a 15 minute catch play session and his first bullpen in years. I Immediately sent the video to a handful of Division 1 programs that were on his list and gave them the scoop. “He's got zero track record but everything about him looks like a future pro arm”. Responses ranged anywhere from excitement to skepticism, which was 100% to be expected. Fast forward a few months to February... CSUN pulled the trigger before his high school season even started and James went on to post a 1.09 ERA, 83 IP, 60 H, 21 BB, and 83 K in his first year of pitching to help take College Park HS to the NCS championship. So here we are essentially 1 year after Jimmy started pitching full time and he’s up to 94 mph as a true freshman, with a win and a save in his first two collegiate appearances with 7.2 IP, 4 H, 1 BB, 13 K. Pretty cool story of a guy going “all in” on something new and different, and a college program taking a chance on a guy that they see future potential in. But the best part of this story and biggest point I want to make is that I firmly believe the reason Jimmy V was the guy that CSUN took a shot on was because of his makeup, work ethic, character, and competitiveness. Jimmy is one of the best “makeup” guys I’ve ever recruited or advised. He is the perfect combination of humble and confident and was the QB/captain of his football team in high school. Jimmy made it easy for CSUN to say “that’s the guy we want to take a chance on.” And yes, it helped that he was 6’4” and a big time multi-sport athlete with a ton of upside. It fires me up to watch Jimmy doing his thing at a very high level. He’s got a ton of good baseball ahead of him. @jam8svoorhies CollegePark Baseball Diablo Valley Baseball Club CSUN Baseball
