The Rock built a whole career playing the same guy in every movie. Swap the jungle, change the shirt, same performance every time.

John cena and Bautista just have more natural talent and personalities. Easier to watch them than Dwayne. But to be fair, Dwayne is not a terrible drama actor as most of his early movies are more “serious”. Bautista in dune beats all those but either way Dwayne is capable in specific genre

Both have very limited ability to play rolls. Big guy is a bully, a wrestler, body guard, super hero or maybe a monster. Just something they are stuck with because they are such an odd body type.

John Cena is willing to look a fool and lose on screen if that makes the movie work.

This is still to this day, the only movie with John Cena in I have ever seen. I thought he was pretty damn good in it, was very surprised. Some day I will watch more. I have never watched a movie with the Rock in it to completion.
