Great comedy has always challenged society. If it never offends anyone, it probably isn’t saying very much. A confident nation laughs at itself. An insecure one tries to censor the punchline. Britain gave the world some of the greatest comedians ever. We shouldn’t become a country where they’re afraid to tell jokes.

John Cleese has spent half a century doing the one thing the modern left cannot forgive, telling the truth in public. Life of Brian wasn’t just comedy. It was a diagnosis. They celebrated the diagnosis when they thought the patient was Christianity. The moment they realised the patient was them, the cancellation attempts began. There are two topics which are quite easy to deal with (actually)... one is "PUBLIC TOILETTES" (their numbers and their states (if they exist at all) and nowadays also cashless toilettes which demand credit cards or mobile phones (which also show in an already very dramatic (and extremely substantial) way where things are going). And the other topic is COMEDY (full of stuff which is really NOT FUNNY ANYMORE (but everyone can simply tell one that one has no humor)).. and who ever says "Just Stay Away" has never really thought about the number of layers of stuff which is (not only actually) NOT FUNNY ANYMORE).. REFERRING TO ITS DIMENSION (because it is everywhere).. and also the "SOCIAL PRESSURE" that comes with it (when one for example adds "BRITISH to the humor"). Free Speech is something very valuable... no doubt about it.. but what is the point about free speech if it is "FULL OF TROJAN HORSES". Not being able to shit and to piss is an already very humiliating thing (and also creates fear if it is highly illegal just to do it).. but if one thinks seriously about this so called "HUMOR" and combines it with "SOCIAL PRESSURE" and then also (if one thinks correctly (which many people do not like to do as it is much "TOO CRITICAL") then one will also find real emotional suffering based on depression and also on "INNER CONFLICTS" and will finally also have to begin to study more detailed information about "SUICIDE AND SUICIDE STATISTICS". "GET OVER IT AND CALM DOWN" Is often the right thing to say.. but not always.

Find his audio book version of the Screwtape Letters. It's about 4 hours long and delightful! I found it on YouTube years ago. His performance was brilliant and fun. Im looking for a corporate media training series starring him about survival in the corporate culture. It could be a modern comedy show.
