Impressions is all the white notes with a bridge of all black notes and although Dolphy’s approach obscures the differences somewhat I love the energy!

Every time I hear those patterns I remind myself to study Dolphy more. Everyone is a Trane-imitator, but Dolphy is out there jammin'.
