The most comical thing you’ll see today is the DC establishment pretending this Texas Senate race is a $100 million bonfire because of me. That’s a lie. Half that money was burned on John Cornyn before I ever entered this race, and he still couldn’t break out of the 20s as a 24-year incumbent. Let that sink in. Twenty-four years in Washington. And I got into this race to give them a real conservative option, one that answers to Texans.

On the other is John Cornyn, a 24-year incumbent who has spent more than $70 million, only to fall further down the ballot with every dollar burned. The funny thing is, neither of them will debate. Neither of them wants to share a stage. Neither of them wants to face Texas voters and defend their record. And I think we all know why. When you can’t defend what you’ve done, or what you believe… you hide. Texas deserves better than avoidance and excuses. The time for a new generation of leadership is NOW.

When a 24-year incumbent starts calling Texas voters “RADICAL,” it’s not strength, it’s fear. It’s fear that the people who sent him to Washington have moved on. It’s fear that Texans remember the broken promises. It’s fear that trust, once lost, is hard to regain. Senator, Texans aren’t radical. And they don’t like being talked down to. I will never betray your TRUST. I got into this race to give Texas the strongest conservative option, the best general election candidate, and a servant leader who believes this job is about the state and the nation, not about himself.
