I obviously haven’t seen Digger yet but it appears as if the stars are beginning to align behind Cruise: he’s marketing the Hell out of this film far in advance of its release (he was everywhere this summer, including the World Cup), his older films are being rereleased in theaters throughout the year, and the entire industry appears to be behind Cruise. As you all know, there’s a difference between who I think will win & who I think should win the Oscar. The “should win” portion comes after I see every film. But for now? The “will win” pick points to Cruise.
