Chanhyuk: Company doesn’t matter, but it’s about the people you work with. “There’s also something like this. Even though we say we created a “company,” we just used that word because it’s easier for people to understand. But in the end, it’s not really about the company, it’s about the people. Like, who you work with. And what kind of experiences you share with them, that’s what really matters the most. So with these people, whether we go, volunteering or travel somewhere, we always move together as one group. Because if not and later on, when I write and release a song, if we hadn’t shared those experiences, I’d have to explain everything. Like, “I went somewhere and had this kind of experience…” But since we’ve all lived it together, I can just say, “Hey, I wrote this kind of song this time,” and they’ll be like, “Oh, yeah, I get it. I know exactly what that is.” It just makes everything so much faster, right?”

On Steve Jobs and soul and instinct and fear and breaking through: 1. I realized I need to meet people with real talent and then all I gotta do is not get thrown out of the f*cking room. 2. I met with a bunch of tech companies and Steve was the only one that had soul. I told him I wanted to build this headphone company and Steve said: “You can do it.” 3. When I used to run companies I just woke up every day and did everything by my instinct. 4. You don't have to understand something fully to do it. I'm proof of that. I don't understand f*cking anything. But I know how to get things done. I know how to hustle. I'm willing to work harder than the next guy. 5. For a lot of people fear stops them. For the people that succeed, fear propels them forward. You need to learn how to harness fear because fear is energy. 6. Your job is to figure out a way around the gatekeeper. 7. If I see something new and great and unusual, I just can't stop. 8. If you know what you have is going to stick and if you’re passionate about it —then just break through that wall. There’s going to be a lot of resistance. But if it sticks, you win.

"And so sometimes like God speaks to me, I think primarily God speaks through me through action. And I think he speaks through everyone through action. You know, we like to talk a lot, but not a lot of people like to live it out. And I make mistakes, but I want to try to live it out to the best of my ability. I think secondly, through the way of communication, I've always had a heart to make complex ideas simpler to understand because I'm not a smart guy. I have a hard time reading Shakespeare and complex literature, so I like doing that. But sometimes I'll be sitting and talking with someone, and I feel like God tells me something about the person. They're struggling with something or if they've got a physical ailment and I'll ask. And sometimes it's true. Sometimes it's not. I'm not not discouraged if it's right or wrong, but if it's right, sometimes God speaks through that way. Those are a few ways God speaks through me, but, but the intrusive thing is so beautiful because I think he can speak to everyone intrusively and it is so sweet when it happens. And it was, it was happening this morning to me in the shower, which is so sweet and beautiful, you know. I struggle a lot with what people think about me because I've always struggled with people pleasing before being a Christian. And so, you know, if I'm misunderstood or someone takes something in the way that I didn't say it, I get hurt because I'm like, oh, I didn't mean it that way. Or, you know, whatever. So I'm kind of talking to Jesus and I'm in the shower praying and I'm going, man, God, I want to be more like you. I want to be how you want me to be. I want to love you. And I want to be your son. And I just want to focus on being yours. And I don't want to care what other people think. And this, this and that. And Jesus was speaking to me about some practical things I needed to do. Like it would help you if you, you know, stopped looking at what people say online. It would help if you deleted Instagram. And it would help if you did this. And, it would help if you would just trust other people to do what they're supposed to do. So you can focus on being mine. And I'm sitting there in the shower going like, wow, this is so good. Hey there, folks. About to go for a run here in Connecticut, and I realized today is the National Day of Prayer. I just want to say how glorious it is that we live in a country with a National Day of Prayer. It’s on our coins: “In God We Trust.” We have to understand that faith in the God of the Bible is central to who we are as a nation. It always has been. I write about that in the book Revolution. Next weekend, on May 17th, we are publicly rededicating the nation to God. I’ll be there, and I hope you will too. On this National Day of Prayer, take a moment to thank God that we live in a nation that acknowledges Him in this way. God bless you, and God bless America.

To all these Protestants who claim you are former Catholics, and you say that the Catholic Church taught you not to read the Bible or that you should stay away from the Bible, and that you can't understand it, only the Church can, quit creating calumny and falsehoods. I have literally walked into Mass and they have Bibles out in stands. You can literally contact your diocese and they'll mail you a Bible, as well as the Catechism. I know because I've done it. Vatican II, even the Catechism of the Catholic Church, requires Christians to read the Bible, so just stop with the calumny. There are a lot of things I disagree with in the Catholic Church, but this is not one of them. So stop lying. The Catholic Church teaches to read the Bible. They have study Bibles. I have literally walked into Mass and they have Bibles out in stands. You can literally contact your diocese and they'll mail you a Bible, as well as the Catechism. I know because I've done it. Vatican II, even the Catechism of the Catholic Church, requires Christians to read the Bible, so just stop with the calumny. I hate constraints and bullshit rules - and just because some WWE producer says, "clear" (meaning, we are no longer live on the air and the show is over) that doesn't mean I just stop whatever I'm doing and tell everyone great job. It fucking pissed me off. I can't shut my high emotions off just because a script says we're done. But even in this crazy fucking world of pro wrestling - this is a microcosm of a larger issue I have with individuals, corporations & governments - telling us what we can or can't do.
