Today Premier Doug Ford Doug Ford said one day Alberta might have to give approval for a federal tax on oil and gas headed from Alberta to the United States. I understand our new Prime Minister Mark Carney has mused about the same thing. Let me be clear… Alberta will never agree to such an absurd and self destructive idea. It’s not an option. I’m not going to agree to do something that will cost hundreds of thousands of Albertans (and Canadians) their jobs almost overnight. That would be like placing export tariffs on Ontario auto parts. Also a bad idea. There are many effective ways that Canada and Alberta can work together to pressure the U.S. President to change course on tariffs - THAT is not one of them… period.

After nearly 8 years in power, Premier Doug Ford has become increasingly concerned about growing crime rates in his province. This has led to new calls for residents to essentially take self defence into their own hands: • Ford said its not unlawful to carry a knife • The province is advocating for pepper spray for personal use, warning that without them women could be at risk in Ontario • Ford is calling on homeowners with weapons to use them when under attack. #onpoli

Hear me out: The Bloc said they won't vote with Conservatives on a non-confidence motion solely on carbon tax and they shouldn't but the Conservatives should give them what they want - separation. "It comes to no surprise to anyone the Bloc Quebecois does want an independent Quebec, we will succeed one day. Everyone that works with us here in Ottawa they know we are independentists that we want independence and they know that eventually Quebec will be come a country." Pierre should campaign on letting Quebers have that opportunity. A separate Quebec would be one of the best things for Canada and best things for the CPC.

Does anyone else find it incredibly convenient that Rachel has decided to change their PR strategy just in time to RUIN THE NEXT INVICTUS GAMES, just like SHE RUINED THE LAST INVICTUS GAMES? I find it difficult to believe she’s suddenly decided to, FOR THE FIRST TIME, listen to her PR person, and she decided this wasn’t an incredibly bad idea, especially after the recent backlash after both the trailer for “With love, Meghan” and the disaster tour. There’s no universe where Doug Ford “didn’t know” about the China EV tariff deal. Not one. Mark Carney doesn’t negotiate trade in a vacuum. Ontario is ground zero for Canada’s auto sector. EVs, tariffs, supply chains that’s Ford’s backyard. If this deal moved forward, it had provincial sign-off. At minimum: awareness. More likely: approval. So let’s stop pretending Doug Ford was “left out.” He wasn’t sidelined. He wasn’t blindsided. He stamped it and now he’s pretending he didn’t. Doug Ford is lying and grandstanding.
