So what you're telling me is the last author in the Bible never recorded his own death? That is amazballs. Im a believer now.

The word is “fled,” not “fleed.” And Christian Scientists have known this forever.

So, a couple of things. One, John isn't named as the apostle who stayed. It's just presumed it's him because of his proximity to Mary later. Two, only one martyrdom of an apostle is recorded in the Bible itself. James, son of thunder. Judas death is recorded, and disciples like Stephen, but none of the other Apostles deaths are in the Bible. Also, it is believed that John died peacefully in Ephesus. In Against Heresies, Book 2, Chapter 22 and Book 3, Chapter 1, Irenaeus, who claimed to have learned from Polycarp (a disciple of John), states that John lived in Ephesus until the time of Trajan (reigned 98–117 AD). He describes John as the author of the Gospel and Revelation, surviving to a great age and dying peacefully. Irenaeus’ connection to Polycarp lends credibility to his account. But I have only studied this for a very long time so what do I know? Oh, and John 12: 25 is Jesus speaking not John, that isn't a prophecy of God through John it's a words of the living God through Jesus Christ.
