Today in #FMQs, Malcolm Offord MSP asked Swinney if he welcomed Lady Ross's ruling on the case brought by the "excellent" FWS & ensure that all the public sector conformed to the law to avoid more suits. He also asked that material from activist groups which was contrary to law be withdrawn & cessation of production of such guidance be a condition of funding. Swinney says he believes in the rule of law & all guidance has to adhere to the law (he neglects to acknowledge that it has not to date).

And make judgements that will affect you, and your family. He believes the existence of Paid Parental Leave suggests that children are a “cost”. He says that if people choose to have children, they should pay the cost. He says it is not his fault that childcare responsibilities fall unequally on women - that, he says, is simply genetic. I’ve been listening to so many iconic calls of John Sterling today and one that is not getting talked about enough is Aaron Judge’s 62nd home run. John was beginning to slow down in 2022 and was not making every road trip but when Judge was closing in on the record John made sure he was there at every game. He loved the game. He loved the history of the #Yankees and we loved him. Of course the call was outstanding and only John’s voice should be the soundtrack to such an iconic moment.
