Very aggressive from Robertson. But @JohnSwinney stayed calm and answered convincingly. He’s always well informed, and gives the facts and figures even if the BBC doesn’t want its listeners (voters in Scotland) to hear them.

How about every SNP representative saying at the start of each interview _"I have a bet on how many times you will interrupt me compared to my fellow interviewees!" Although we know SNP candidates are not betting people!! Very apposite just now.

Did you notice as soon as Swinney actually said “if you’d let me finish” the hectoring stopped. Swinney should have said it at the first time it happened and not the 20th. Also should have worked in something about doctors not striking when asked about where money was spent.

Fiona Stalker was a disgrace as she interviewed Ivan McKee tonight. After being introduced, McKee had to wait as Stalker read out critical statements. When finally allowed to speak he was interrupted after just 11 secs. He was interrupted eleven times in two minutes. No other party had to endure this. Jackie Baillie and Murdo Fraser were allowed to respond to questions without any interruptions, none, making very lengthy answers. Only the SNP was treated in this fashion. BBC Scotland News

The reason given by Trump for the removal of whisky tariffs - namely the trade in bourbon casks - is exactly the argument used by John Swinney when he visited Trump last September. Angus Robertson made this clear in an interview with a churlish Laura Maxwell at the time. Maxwell was so annoyed she actually tried to attack minimum unit pricing. Maxwell's show, like Trump's tariffs, was eventually canned. Swinney's visit was a hugely significant factor in Trump's decision. Make no mistake about that. The BritNat media will either ignore its significance or play it down.

His immediate reaction was to joke that he “loves talking about this,” but then when the question developed he gave a thoughtful answer and said he is “glad” he was wrong to suggest the PGA Tour do a deal with the PIF and also said he knew about it in March/April, before players on LIV did. Roy Hattersley, former Deputy Labour Leader, has died at 93. Here he is as a Cabinet minister, campaigning in the 1978 Hamilton by-election for George Robertson, Labour's candidate. Margo MacDonald stood for the SNP. The 1978 World Cup was around the corner, and Scotland had qualified. Hattersley kicks around a football, sort of. As the opening game of the World Cup was on Thursday 1st June, the by-election was held one day earlier, on the Wednesday. The last time a by-election was not on a Thursday.

When asked what he means by 'indigenous population', Robertson replied "those born here". Robertson later apologised for "clumsy language". This isn't clumsy language. It's racist language. That Robertson thought it just 'clumsy' suggests he should be nowhere near a BBC microphone.

During the general election campaign Anas Sarwar was confronted by a party member who was furious with Wes Streeting's plan to open up the NHS to the private sector. The media, including BBC Scotland's Jenny Davidson, were at this event. The confrontation was hushed up. This was a high-profile Labour party event. Had John Swinney been confronted by an angry SNP member at a similar campaign event on a key policy issue, it would have been all over the news. Sarwar effectively lied to the man in his response, making the exchange even more newsworthy.

Stuttering and round about answering the question when he was interviewed on an LDS Podcast. The last thing he was asked was "Is there any truth to any of this?" Bowyer's initial response: "So there is (there is some truth?)....so, so straight off the bat" Notice he was not asked if he is BISEXUAL and doesn't answer that. He just says he isn't "gay" and eventually says "that never happened."
