He is 100% correct in this video and it is the repairability absolutists who are propagandists.

Ironic part about this is if you look at ifixit scores Apple scores much higher than comparable phones and really the only phones that beat it are fair phone style devices that are not flagship at all

How would you bring an android phone to interview the CEO of Apple?

how many people drop their phones in the lake vs how many people HAVE to replace THE WHOLE DEVICE every time battery wears out. This is economic intensive and planned obsolescence. how many phones in ones life have to be replaced due to battery vs water damage.

More people run out of battery by 4pm than have ever dropped a phone in a lake, by roughly the margin of the sea. Sealing the battery in was never about lakes, it was the subscription model arriving in hardware. You used to carry spares and just swap them

I really hate the point he was making in that video. "Product that never fails" vs "Product that's repairable". Every product fails. Making them easy to repair, saves people a cost, and saves the planet from e-waste. I hope he's less propagandistic as CEO.

It was literally this interview that made me realize Apple is in good hands, it’s a tough topic but he was able to explain Apple philosophy to a general audience cogently, can’t wait to see what’s new from him!

This is really such a good take. I never assumed I’d be “against” repairability, but he makes great points here. Not only do the products need to be replaced as often, but the end user also gets a better product.

Why is he using an Android with John Ternus? Marques has no excuse. We all know he has lots of iPhones. Weird.

New age? Their charging technology is slow as fuck, their decharge rate is way too fast, they heat up too easily, have no cooling, oeak brightness is afk teash, the OS is dog shit, really a phone for afk retards who know nothing, best used as a camera full stop.

Love this response. The repair absolutists somehow paper over this.

I've never understood the obsession with removing the battery. I've had Iphones on and off for 12 years now, never been in a situation where I needed to replace the battery, I have however dropped it in the pool, spilled drinks on it and I was thankful it worked perfectly fine.

Yay @Apple can make the thinnest phone but cant make an indestructible phone. Relies on phone insurance and phone cases and screen protectors, for $1,200 phone. Smh. No innovation since Steve Jobs. Just cosmetics.

I‘m super confident he‘ll do much better than Tim, also I hope the commonalities of deadhard engineering focus and having beef with OAI will help Apple and Tesla and SpaceX grow closer again.

Maybe Nokia can teach Apple a thing or two about "durable and easy to repair". Oh, yeah, I forgot this might affect "the stream of capital". Not to mention the "battery gate" chapter. Greedy bastards

I think he is the one that will create the NoiPhone. He will contact @elonmusk to bring iPhone capabilities directly to human brain using Neuralink technologies.
