John Waters on Micheál Martin's comments about Irish people not being homogonous "That is deserving of impeachment in my view. If you do not accept the authority & the sovereignty of the people who elected you, then get out, because you're not fit to govern on their behalf."👇👇

Our antiquity was always acknowledged, even among many British writers in the 18th and 19th centuries. Mark Scott has been doing a series relating to it recently.

Good stuff. Thanks for sharing. 🫡👍🇮🇪

Brilliant. @johnwaters2024 is a national treasure. An Irish patriot with an intellect far above gombeen politicians like Martin or Harris.

@johnwaters2024 A rare breed is John Waters.👍🇮🇪🫡

@LordOfMundane 100% agree

The Irish of today are decedents of the Gael with very little different DNA. The Irish are as homogeneous as it gets.

Being a bit of a mongrel oneself (and that would be down to a certain invading enslaving sack or bagdad so to speak raping me nth-gg-granny in Baltimore (a sack moreover that should have been met with a pair of bullock squeezers and no anaesthetic but Thomas Davies said she stabbed him in his serai thereafter or one of her sisters did so there's some consolation) it's no big deal really (bar my exorbitant cardiology bills). There've been waves of invasions since Baal was a boy and they built Newgrange thousands of years before Abraham and Isaac. 3200 BC and if we're going on Archibishop Usher's timeline that's only about 1200 years since the Creation. Inconveniently for the good Archbish, and indeed Arlene Foster and her DUP colleagues, there's been evidence of human settlement here going back to round 10,500 BC (Late Paleolithic). Chert marks on animal bones that old have proven that. (Sorry Arlene but you don't really think hydrocarbons were made in 6000 years and you a fan of fracking do ya). So, we are all mongrels, after a fashion, in that we who've been on this island well far back as the 8th C in my own fam's case, earlier in many others', have been raped and sacked by pretty much every dog and divil that showed up on our shores since Newgrange, likely itself built by Anatolian farmers. But just as it isn't politic to observe that EVERYONE'S DNA has a rapist's unwanted contribution somewhere in there, just that few of us would like to admit it or think overly much about it. Mongrels are tough, hardy, fightin' dogs. Nothing wrong with us at all.
