In 2010, a nine-year-old student named Beatrice Delap from Meridian Primary School in Greenwich, London, wrote a letter to Johnny Depp, requesting his help as Captain Jack Sparrow to stage a mutiny against her teachers. To everyone’s surprise, Depp responded to Beatrice’s request in a way that was beyond anyone’s imagination. He showed up at the Meridian Primary School, fully dressed in his Captain Jack Sparrow costume. Accompanied by four other cast members, Depp made a grand entrance that left the students and teachers in awe. Upon his arrival, Depp pulled out Beatrice’s letter, announced that he was going to frame it, and then called Beatrice down for a hug. He spent 15 minutes performing for the students and dancing with his fellow cast members.
