Even the independent agencies and even prosecutors who are supposed to put law and justice above politics have been told to only investigate Democrats and to only do what makes the president look good throughout this entire investigation. So if they are in possession of the files, we have deep concerns that they would manipulate those files in some way. The other thing we are concerned they’re going to do is only release files that either make the president look good or only release files that the president chooses to agree to release — and not tell the whole story, protecting the president and his friends, and anyone else the president deems worth protecting. So, this is a concern. He’s signed the bill, but this is only the beginning of the fight to make sure we get the full, unredacted release of the files, which is what we really need.

Trump: I will not be abandoning the farmers. We are strong on the borders and for the farmers and others in the hotel industry. We have similar situations and Kristi and I will be working with the states and we will work something where the farmers and be responsible. They have had people around for 10 or 15 years and they know them well, we will put them responsible, and issue a form of card or documents and the farmer will be responsible for these people. They will not have citizenship but they will be working and paying taxes. We need to get our farmers the people they need or else the farmers will not be able to do their land. It was tried when there was a very strong guy, and he got everybody out, and every farm almost in the country but every farm in California or Iowa went bankrupt and they had nobody to work and we do not want that situation. I think that during especially during covid, I think that the doors were really open in trying to entertain any and every policy that was going to get us to a better place. And I actually think that the discussions that had that were had in that time were quite fruitful. I think that when we talk about crime today, it's fundamentally different than the way that we talked about crime in bringing crime down. Right. And I think that we all share in the goals of having as low a crime rate as possible. I think that, you know, during lockdown, of course, rhetoric in that time is not rhetoric that we would use today. And I'm grateful that these candidates have the opportunity to present who they are to their electorate and what they're campaigning on in this moment

And I want to be very clear that I have far more urgent work in front of me than indulging the provocations of a man who trades in outrage and, frankly, fears the city that we are looking to build — one where every single New Yorker who lives here can call it their home. The Epstein estate files that have been this new treasure-trove, the third batch, was not even included in the discharge petition. Didn't even think of it. And again, the investigation is bipartisan. It's nonstop. And far broader in scope than what is covered by the discharge petition and already yielded significant results. Unfortunately, some Democrats, sadly even a couple Republicans, have tried to make this a political issue. They seem to be more interested in trying somehow to lay a glove on the president than securing justice for these victims. I think that's shameful.
