You can really taste the lemon and blueberry vibes mixed with that Zkittles sweetness, and the cookie profile was definitely there. 🔥 When I broke it down, it REAKED like cookies and Zkittles. It lowkey reminded me of what I think old school cookies🍪 strains would taste like but with that little 🍋 / 🫐 twist. The high was super chill and kinda cerebral at first, really euphoric, and it had me feeling active. I felt it more in my body than my head, but I can definitely feel it starting to creep in 🫣 Flavor stayed good the whole joint. After 3 incredible years and 1.6M students later, my journey at ALX Africa has come to an end. It has been a life-changing experience, during which I made a lot of friends, worked with an incredibly dedicated team, and met so many talented students. A few numbers. We scaled from a few thousand students to 1.6M students on our platform. Students loved it and many of them took more than one course: 4M total! For the famous #ALX_SE Software engineering program, our SE students made an average of 2,000 commits and our checker reviewed 180M of their projects. That’s 2B lines of code… and that was before Claude Code. They actually wrote these themselves (unless Kimba said otherwise :) A big thank you to all my SE team mates, I am so proud of what we have accomplished, and I will really miss you all. Thank you to Fred for the trust he put in me and always supporting my crazy new and disruptive ideas. Thank you to my students. It was an honor to work with you, watch you struggle but relentlessly move forward, no matter what, until you got this job. To those who are still struggling finding this job, keep pushing forward. Don’t let go. You got this. You all have worked so hard and I am so proud of you. You are the greatest thing I've ever been part of and I can't wait to see what impact you will have on the world. I think I've stumbled onto the future of building startups. It wasn't supposed to happen this way. It's 2 AM. I'm editing a podcast, questioning every life decision that led me here. I've rewritten this several times, but I can't find any better way to say it... so here it goes. One of the things I'm scared of most, is time. Particularly, time that is wasted. There's a sundial that hangs on my wall with an inscription that says, "I have done nothing good today, I have lost a day." X has always been a place where I wanted to put out things that didn't waste anyone's time. Whatever post I put out, whatever thought, whatever story, comment,... whatever it was, was worth the time for you to read it, and for me to create it. Because I know, in my bones, that the time we have is precious and thought of wasting even a minute of yours or mine doing something worthless, is genuinely one of my greatest fears. As we were walking down this mountain together, my son looks up at me and says, "Dad... God made me VERY good at hiking." I laughed and say, "Yeah he did!" A couple minutes go by and he stops, he turns at looks at me, and goes: "Dad, God made you VERY good at work and work is very important..." That got me. I often worry that my work pulls me too far away from my kids. Even more than that... ...I know that what I do on X does cause and will cause life to be harder for my kids than if I chose to remain silent Walking off that mountain, one of my deepest fears about wasting time was answered by the very person I was afraid I might be hurting. As a dad, that means everything.

It is spectacularly easy to get shadowbanned on X One wrong reply and your reputation can go up in flames Luckily there are a few steps you can take to reduce your odds of getting banned by 10x 🔶First step: Don't reply from notifications Notifications are a minefield because hidden, spammy replies are shown to you as normal replies It's never worth replying from here. Today, I experienced my first instance of disrespect since joining this community. Having attended numerous events of all sizes, this was the first time I encountered someone like this. A male stranger invited us to share a round of shots. He persistently pressured me and two female friends to drink, all while holding a different type of glass himself. I said, "You should drink the same as us," but he refused. Out of personal caution, I chose not to consume the alcohol he offered. He then sat down to chat with us, directing his attention solely to the women throughout the conversation. He first asked for my Telegram handle, then demanded to see my X account. I handed him my phone to view my profile, and he remarked, "You only have 8,000 followers, not even 10,000," before returning my device. I say"So?" He offered no further response and continued to urge us to drink. By the way, he didn’t even introduce himself or ask for my name—he just kept pushing me to drink. I was stunned; this was the first time I had met someone so rude. He eventually left to approach other women on the dance floor. Until now, everyone I’ve met at events—whether whales, project founders, or celebrities—has been humble and friendly. This stranger measured personal worth by follower counts, undermining the community values I cherish. Hey X, Family, friends, and warriors on here, I need to share something heavy that's been on my heart for only a couple of days. The doctors recently gave me news of cancer and a short 12-month timeline at best. I call BS on that. I feel strong, I'm fighting with everything I have, and I'm positive I'll beat this by God's grace. I'm anxiously waiting on a second opinion from another oncologist right now. Today I broke the news to my kiddos, all but the one overseas. My minors at home (including our new little Spider-Man who's been adjusting with us the past week after coming from a tough situation) and my college boy are now in the know. As a widower with no other living relatives, these boys depend on me, and I've never hidden things from them. We prayed together and we're standing on faith. I've only been carrying this quietly for a couple days, but I can't keep it hidden any longer. So many of you depend on me for the behind-the-scenes help and encouragement, and I have several close friends right here on this platform who have beaten the odds ,true God's warriors. Their testimonies fire me up. I know I'll join them in victory. Scripture I'm standing on: " Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up." (James 5:14-15) Also, "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2) Please cover me and my boys in prayer. I'm trusting God for complete healing and many more years of ministry, fatherhood, and service. This video was taken the day I played through the first build of the Neural DSP Archetype JM X plugin. We’d set up my amp rig in the live room and were switching between the rig and the plugin. I threw every test at it; does turning the volume knob to 5 create a natural response in tone? It did. Does a single note that’s held die out without a noise gate eating it or the “math” just giving up? It did. Do two notes bent at once with distortion on create natural harmonic overtones exactly like the amps in the room? They did, exactly. I had the engineer switch between signals without my knowing. “That’s the amps,” I’d guess. “Plugin,” the engineer would say, several times. It had fooled me. Neural DSP had done it. It wasn’t just a faithful recreation of my sound - it was the first plugin I’d ever heard that proved that digital modeling could create a digital emulation with zero compromises. I’d like to say that we went back and forth countless times, making tweaks until it was right, but the truth is that they pretty much nailed it on the first try. Only a few EQ changes and some changes to a couple of the effects pedals were needed. The thousands of hours of creation came to fruition yesterday when the plugin was released, and it’s been a joy to see and hear players putting this software to the test and being as impressed as I was in this video. Thank you to every guitar player who created such clever and great sounding presets and for spreading the word. I can’t wait to hear all the new music that’s created with this plugin. Getting my sound is just the beginning of what it can do, and I can’t wait to hear what musicians create with it.
