Denzel Washington’s epic monologue towards the end of Training Day was largely improvised on set. Director Antoine Fuqua was so blown away by his performance, he says he thinks he "forgot to yell cut”. He explains… “That’s Denzel. He was just in his zone. I mean, that was one of those moment...people talk about AI. Those are the moments where you go...it's a great tool. It's gonna be a great tool, I think...but the emotion, and the moment that an actor can bring - you can't predict that. That's something that's just inside of Denzel. And when that came out, I was just like - I hope I got it. I just turned to my operator - who was shaking- I looked over at the guy - I was like, “please tell me you got that.” Because that was the take. That was it. There was no other take - I mean, how do you tell an actor like that, that that wasn't good enough? …He walked over to me, and he just had this look in his eyes. I was like, “you good?” He said, “you good?” I said, “Yeah…” Some of that was in the script, but he flipped it the way he did it. "Putting cases on all you." He kind of added some things in there. And then he just went into a whole other zone with the whole King Kong thing- with Pelican Bay - Denzel started that. That was Denzel. That was him, man. He just kind of lit up, and I think I forgot to yell cut. I was just watching it, because everybody started walking away, and I'm just watching him, and then he lights a cigarette - and he's talking - and I'm just watching him. I think at some point he probably looked at me like, you going to cut? And I'm like, “oh yeah, yeah, cut.” He was still in it. That's the thing with Denzel. He was so Alonso…I'm just watching him for a while because I didn't know what else he was going to do. It was just so magical. And then I think he looked up at me and I was like, “Okay, cut, cut.”

I love books, and I'm an avid reader, but I just have a hard time because of the way that I perceive. "I've had a great sort of - one side of me anyways - was really satisfied by art and drawing and sculpture and sort of visual expression. And I think that that started to, you know, was the thing that kind of made me feel un-frustrated. And also the way the system was designed, sort of not to support me when I was in high school at that time. "It was very difficult, you know, there was a lot of, you know, just, difficulty. My English teacher in high school was worried about what my career would be, and I'm like. He would be happy to know that I'm in the Writers Guild of America now. "But, I think that that all those things are, they're all... you can transcend all those things with perseverance and with interest and with with help. And I think that that's an important part of it. "And I just think I've had to adapt, and sort of... I have my own style of the way I write, I write all, you know, but I'm pretty prolific. And I love- I listen to tons of audio books on tape, unabridged hours and hours and hours. That's all I do when I'm driving in the car or wherever I'm doing. And it's helped me a lot. "And yeah, I mean, I just hope that anyone who is- feels trapped or frustrated by the world in general. ⛰️ I think I was standing for almost half of the flight time. Since I’ve just been dancing continuously from when I was young and doing things like that*, my body isn’t really in good condition. But now, since the situation was such that I had to keep going anyway, I told the flight attendant, “I’m sorry, but would it be okay if I stand for a bit?” ⛰️ When I say it like this, it sounds like I’m making a show of it, but I just wanted to tell you how much it meant to me/how sincere I was about it. “Because I think a lot of people are familiar with you know, pop stars have these alter egos on stage and then they're also a little bit potentially different behind the scenes. Can you talk about what the difference is between those two personas?” ROSÉ: I think, you know, like I started off as, my whole career started as Blackpink and I feel like it was so much fun creating this character on stage because I'm just from like Australia, like in my bedroom, but like it was so much fun creating this like pop star, like character. 👤i thought that story was really cute…that you kissed each other to catch the flu 👤 this really feels like ‘divorce camp’ (*tv show); how did this come about? 🐰 it was probably right before the debut line up was decided, right? 🦊 yeah 🐰 it was the end of the year and it was a hard time for all the trainees…nobody could sleep or eat…and the flu was really going around at the time so a couple of people got to sit out of it…yeonjun hyung was one of them and i really wanted to sit out of it too because it means you can rest so as a joke, i rubbed against hyung and was like “hyung~ pass your flu onto me~” but the next day, i was shedding tears of blood because i was so sick 👤🤣 “shedding tears of blood” 🐰 it was the first time i got that sick, my body hurt so much, it felt like it would shatter….but the other members…something that made me feel really unfair was that if the other members were like “i feel like i caught the flu”, the dance teacher would be “okay okay, go home and rest” but starting from me, they started stopping us like “leave after you do this! finish this and then go!”…after the dance lesson, i looked like i was about to die so the dance teacher was like “this is not it, you should go home too” so on my way back to the dorm, i was sobbing like crazy because i was so sad like “why didn’t they let me sit it out 😭” because i was so sick…! 👤 so did it pass on to you when you were like “hyung, pass it onto me~” 🐰 probably..i wasn’t in contact with anyone else that got it and i was only like that with yeonjun hyung so i think it probably passed on then

There’s been times when I’m walking or hiking in the woods and I hear knocking coming a building, it gives me an eerie vibe like a trapped in the woods kind of feeling. I know I post about this stuff a bit but it truly fascinates me. Like how this man is hearing knocking on the ground in the woods like something underneath him is knocking but it’s solid ground right? The only logical explanation I can think of is it’s reverb from construction or possibly pipes on the ground being worked on. I was at the state park getting a jog in, the surrounding area was flat, I could see far on either side of me. The fields were clear of trees like a new developmental lot. I didn’t have my headphones on, I decided just to go for a jog without them. During the jog it was quiet, except for the sounds of the wildlife, I could tell they were there, it didn’t bother me. However as I progressed I started hearing a screeching noise, it didn’t sound like any animal to me, almost like old metal on metal brakes of a car ready to fail is how I would describe it. I wasn’t worried because as I said before, the area I was at was clear, it wasn’t as if anybody could be hiding along my path, it was just empty, but what made it weird is I couldn’t pinpoint where the noise was and it sounded close yet I couldn’t see anything that could be the source. Just a dirt path and grass. There were trees along the horizon but they were far, too far for that noise to be so close. For the rest of the job I kept my eyes open but to this day I still couldn’t explain what that noise was.

There’s been times when I’m walking or hiking in the woods and I hear knocking coming a building, it gives me an eerie vibe like a trapped in the woods kind of feeling. I know I post about this stuff a bit but it truly fascinates me. Like how this man is hearing knocking on the ground in the woods like something underneath him is knocking but it’s solid ground right? The only logical explanation I can think of is it’s reverb from construction or possibly pipes on the ground being worked on. I was at the state park getting a jog in, the surrounding area was flat, I could see far on either side of me. The fields were clear of trees like a new developmental lot. I didn’t have my headphones on, I decided just to go for a jog without them. During the jog it was quiet, except for the sounds of the wildlife, I could tell they were there, it didn’t bother me. However as I progressed I started hearing a screeching noise, it didn’t sound like any animal to me, almost like old metal on metal brakes of a car ready to fail is how I would describe it. I wasn’t worried because as I said before, the area I was at was clear, it wasn’t as if anybody could be hiding along my path, it was just empty, but what made it weird is I couldn’t pinpoint where the noise was and it sounded close yet I couldn’t see anything that could be the source. Just a dirt path and grass. There were trees along the horizon but they were far, too far for that noise to be so close. For the rest of the job I kept my eyes open but to this day I still couldn’t explain what that noise was.

🐰 i still remember when we went overseas on tour, taehyun said that his body was sweltering after the concert so he was going to have a ice shower and brought a bunch of ice 🐿️😆😆😆 🐰 he was like “this is refreshing~” and had a lower body bath and the next day he looked like he was dying 🐿️ i got a body ache all over the next day 🐰 i saw him and thought “i shouldn’t have a ice bath”…but i don’t go into cold bath tubs either 🐿️ ah really? 🐰 yeah 🐿️ i like it a lot, it’s really cold but there is a little bit of a mental effect of going in there plus it was really hot so i went in and it was very electrifying in a good way…like i was getting healthier! so i was like “this feels great~” but then…i was like “what’s this? i’m definitely out of the ice but it’s still cold..” 🐰 it wasn’t you feeling like you were getting healthier 🐿️ it wasn’t me feeling like i was getting healthier, it was the virus in my body getting healthier
