To those bigots in the comments missing Jon’s point, let’s be clear, books and drag queens won't change your child's sexuality. Sure, your kid might grow up to be more empathetic, tolerant, educated, and understanding, but literacy and kindness tend to do that. Jon hurts his argument repeating lies. He’s talking about a study that includes adults (18 and 19 year olds who are common victims of gang violence and suicide). Gun murders are concentrated in neighborhoods with strict gun control. Gun murders are lowest in areas with minimal gun control. Gun laws can’t solve the problem. There are other countries with few guns which have higher suicide rates than the US. America has a toxic culture that is killing children. Both Jon and his interviewee should be focused on that instead of pushing pointless laws.
