A successful Houthi strike on Israel was inevitable. No missile defense system is hermetic. 2 questions now: 1. Will the Houthis increase attacks after a taste of success? 2. How will the Israelis respond? This was a near miss at Ben Gurion but necessitates a serious response.

The Houthis say this was a missile capable of evading radar. That claim is unproven. Yet, we know that both Arrow (Israeli) & THAAD (US) both failed to down this missile.

This was the first operational miss for THAAD, from what I understand. So, curious to see whether we see a statement from the US about this. The statement from Bibi conveyed that he was not concerned about this incident. The war with the Iranian axis continues.

According to reports, 9 carriers canceled flights today. Unclear how many, if any, will halt operations. Israelis are working hard to resume regular operations. Ben Gurion operations are crucial for Israel. Important to remember: the missile didn’t actually score a direct hit.

Here’s a Houthi tweet claiming this was a hypersonic missile. I am definitely not buying this claim. Awaiting a response from Israel/US on this.

@JSchanzer You are aware that it missed, right?

@JSchanzer SUBHANALLAH

@JSchanzer Ready to die 😈😈😈

@JSchanzer sure sure... soon you will be able to see what our, not hypersonic, rockets can do. Please dont cry, k?
