Jordan Battle vs. Tampa Bay The Bengals will need a more consistent performance from Battle on Sunday, and I think we will see that.

I'm not sure what you're seeing that makes you think we will see that. He struggled last year too. This isn't new for him. He's a liability.

Blind faith...lol...no for real though it is more about just how good the rest of this defense is. I think they can put him in positions to succeed still.

I mean I wish I had that faith. I like him. He's just a problem. And one they're going to have to try to cover up. In turn, that creates holes elsewhere.

It does make you question how long they would stick with him if he keeps taking poor angles and missing tackles. They have a veteran like Dugger on the roster if they need to make a change.

Yeah I mean it's one week. But this isn't new behavior for him. So hopefully he's on a short leash. But this staff tends to stick with players for far too long before making changes

@BengalsBrews He’s a starting safety and is also on the kick off team, that’s an isn’t on brand for a guy they have faith in. He’ll be benched by the trade deadline

Jordan Battle is still a problem after watching thise clips. He looks unsure out there. He's been a Bengals player far too long to continue his tap dancing moves. I hope there's a upside but in reality I dont see it.

He’s terrible and was almost as bad as geno stone last year. He shouldn’t be starting on an NFL team

We said that many times last year and Battle disappointed. TBH he was the weak link on D vs TB and I hope that Dugger replaces him soon.

Having Dugger here certainly should make him perform or be benched this season. Can't keep having mediocre to poor performances with the rest of this defense looking improved.

I'm still bullish on him. He still flashes a lot of good. Hopefully having Cook and Dugger in the room will help him cut down on the bad. I still think he can be a really good player.

Geno Stone hate blinded people from his performance. He has a handful of really good plays a game but he is an absolute liability at times.

Jordan Battle is not physical at all by safety standards. I felt like it rubbed off on last years team especially when it was him and Stone. Hes probably my least favorite Bengal not because of talent but because of his lack of physicality

I only see him making one good play in those clips. Based on what we see here, can you imagine him trying to tackle Derek Henry? He's playing like a slightly larger version of Geno Stone. He plays with too much trepidation. Translation: he's got no dawg in him.

Battle was awful last year. Need to see something from him this week.

Suggestion: maybe add to video screen what you consider good/bad. I saw a handful of good plays and handful of bad plays. But not everyone knows how to read film (I certainly don't).

Give Duggar a chance..I like Battle but too inconsistent

I would like to see Dugger play.. but this was game 1.. this is a very different team, he may adjust and be much better
