Today on Game The Mind, LeBron critiqued his own mid-range game, saying that while improved, going to his right is still a mental challenge. From 10-feet out to the 3ball line, he shot .444 this season on 296 attempts, a huge improvement from .335 a year ago on 210 attempts. By comparison, 40 year old Jordan shot .432 from the same range on 1,127 attempts-- Obviously, MJ's game was almost completely mid-range, shooting 74% of his shots from mid-range, opposed to LeBron at 40, shooting 22% of his shots from mid-range. BREAKING: Memphis lands a commitment from Briacrest HS 2026 4⭐️ wing/F Fred Smith Jr. Fred joins fellow 4⭐️ Cello Jackson as the two Memphis commits in the 2026 class. Smith Jr. is an interesting scout. Has good handle + ball skills at his size, but lacks lateral quickness and outside shooting. Is limited size-wise in the paint but is a physical scorer at the rim. It’ll be interesting to see what position he plays and how his game translates in college. I see him more as an undersized 4 in college.

Link academy’s(PG) 2025 Jobe Bryant fits the bill of a division one PG Jobe bryant Had a fantastic summer but graduated HS without a single D1 offer, he played in the NY2LA circuit this summer averaging 12.7 PPG and 6.4 APG As a senior in HS he averaged 26.7 PPG and 7.1 APG while also putting up 3.2 SPG He was the best overall playmaker and ball-handler during NY2LA this summer. definitely needs to improve his shooting, it’s a inconsistent part in his game and being 6’0 he’ll need to be a more efficient shooter Regardless the talent and awareness he has shouldn’t go unnoticed

All of Paige Bueckers' points as a pick-and-roll ball handler against the Los Angeles Sparks came in the fourth quarter with Li Yueru as a screener. Their chemistry has shown in recent games. 1. Li's extra-high screen against deep drop while the defender fights over gives Bueckers space to have rhythm on a pull-up 3 uncontested. 2. Li sets another extra-high screen, this time against the Sparks, trying to ICE. This time, the big defender is playing up above the 3-point line to respect the pull-up 3. Bueckers uses this to attack the paint for a short-range pull-up jumper using the glass, avoiding the shot-blocker. 3. Another extra-high screen to begin the sequence, but this time, the big defender backpedals earlier to prevent the drive in ICE. This season, he's improved on those numbers despite constant double teams, ending the season with 45 catches for 806 yards and 9 TDs. Zion is also an excellent basketball player and track athlete. He is committed to Stanford Football and is our Parker University MVP.

Next best C available according to NXN’s 2027 Top 100 Rankings. (#17) 4⭐️ Isaiah Hill. (IN) 7’0 205lb. Breakdown: Arguably the best shot blocker in high school. Really long arms, times his jumps well, and always stays straight up, doesn’t lean much while blocking shots he just takes them. Hes shown the ability to hold his own on the perimeter, that length definitely helps him out, his defensive IQ is just an added bonus to an already elite defensive player. Still has a ways to go to find his offensive game, but he’s come such a long way already. Adding a mid/3p jumper, extending the defense and working on his face up/handle, his hands and footwork both need work, not a reliable post up player yet, but you’re seeing the tools and the flashes of a modern C in today’s game, if he can take those tools to the next level he becomes one of the most complete C’s in HS overall. Lots of potential here. Kentucky hosted Isaiah for an unofficial but never extended an official offer. Indiana Kid, playing for Jeff Teague at Pike HS, sounds like he’ll be staying in state. A Florida judge has locked up Thomas Stein, sentencing him to life in prison plus 45 years for the murder of 15-year-old Kayla Rincon-Miller. Kayla was shot and killed along a Cape Coral street during an attempted robbery in 2024. Stein's trial featured a massive twist when his co-defendant, Christopher Horne Jr., took the stand to identify him as the shooter. During the emotional sentencing, a crying Stein apologized and begged the judge to hug his mother one last time before being taken away. The judge denied the request and handed down the maximum penalty.
