This was his only goal of the season. Moving to LA Galaxy was quite possibly the best thing he did for his career. Went to an MLS Final, went to a CONCACAF final, won the Western Conference in 1996, and returned to prominence on the Mexican national team.

This was one of his last few games in LIGA MX before moving to MLS that same year Atlante struggled mightily that year, & there were questions as to whether or not Jorge Campos was gonna continue his career. He was allocated to LA Galaxy but had to finish his season at Atlante.
