I can't respect a guy who'd shell out in the first place. The fact that the negative effects of AI have been out in the open for YEARS, harming the art and animation industry and he still chooses to do it knowing it'd upset his fans to chase money. It sucks

That's not literally what happened He didn't fully apologize + he keeps treating people who has being following his career their whole life Like damn He was an inspiration to many of us & he keeps treating us like if we we're criminals wanting to harm him & playing victim.

I'm actually so disappointed that he directed fucking The Book Of Life then some how supported ai in animation. I mean 10+ years have passed since this movie, but I watch it at least once every few months cause it's just so visually appealing and made with love, unlike ai

We are NOT our worst moments. Whatever his reasons for starting out, they're irrelevant now. The end result is that he won't do AI and never will. Let's not pretend EVERYONE knows how bad AI is. I respect the fact he made the right decision. Now move on. It's not that deep y'all.

I have forgiven. But I am very very. Concerned for the future? Just hoping he doesn't do anything like this again. One of my favorite. Animators. This guy got his hands on every one of my favorite things that he created.

On one hand, like... I get it, he betrayed a lot of people's trust. But on the other hand, people also got what they wanted, he did back out. So I guess he got some dignity back but lost a lot of respect?

That’s something that can’t just be given back on a whim he was pushing against the currents he knew the consequences of ai and what it does and still decided to go with it…with time he could get what he lost but it was his full adult decision to go ageist his community….

I personally get he had a good intention but joining into the AI project wasn’t the call to send the message he wanted to send to future animators and their works. He has a great animation style and talent, in the end I’m glad he dropped out of the AI project (art is for humans)

I do not think we should forgive him that easily it’s kinda obvious he’s covering his ass after everyone abandoned ship

Threatening his kids and saying "cyber bullying works" shows why I feel right to suspend AI wars in every place I moderate. You do not get free pass to cyber-bully just because you dislike things. I hate AI moderation and I loathe how LORAs exist but never do this shit.

Deciding to use AI for stuff this late into the game isn't just a little mistake. Its reputation in the community is well known, its effects on the environment is well known, its effects on the economy. Its a good thing he's back away from it, but his reputation is gone.

he does not feel guilty or remorseful at ALL, everyone hated him for what he did, and so he didnt do it, he still supports ai, and he still has lost all respect he had in the past.

It's good that he realized the error and changed, but that's only if he TRULY understands ACCEPTS and BELIEVES what he did was wrong. Those still cynical, understandable. His name is stained but let the man PROVE he's learned his lesson by ACTION.
